Interesting, we play ostheer and OKW vs soviets without ppsh, and soviet have 0 wins :snfPeter:

So you're build too few conscripts.

PS: YEAH, WE GET IT. Hit the Dirt is OP. We're already nerfing it for the live version. Do you have any examples of conscripts PPSh where Hit-the-dirt was not used?

Really? What kind of ways are you guys looking into hitting? Suppression Immunity? -10% Received Damage? There isn't much there to nerf. Shouldn't we maybe look at Conscript's Long Range Accuracy first? We can afford to hit that since Conscripts have amazing Accuracy Vet. Maybe make it so they can't reinforce while Hitting the Dirt?

I'm referring to the massive -17%(?) Received accuracy that comes on top of everything else.

Hmmm? You mean the Vet 3 Received Accuracy? I see now, hadn't thought on that. Hmmmm... Would be a real shame for Hit the Dirt to grant Suppression Immunity only. Are substitutes being considered for replacing the received accuracy modifier?

This game would've been much better from the start if all MGs had slightly longer setup times and twice the suppression. Oh well, CoH 3...

Its my understanding that holding an mg increases RA by 25%, so thats like 1.25*1.25 = 1.56 RA

thats a vet 0 230 mp unit facing 3 vet 3 units with a value of 770 + munitions upgrades. Mg34 is terrible vs brits, but at some point throwing enough resources at an mg should let you win.

If a vet 0 mg could stare down multiple units of vet 3 upgraded infantry the game would be so broken, only mgs would ever be built.

Mgs don't do much at all vs blobs which is bad, but its not like that mg should ever win that fight

Nah, that's only the crew having inherently 1.25 size. When you crew you skipped that part (that's why reinforcing is cheaper when doing so with the original crew).

ALL MGs sucks against several late game vet 3 infantry with/without upgrades when running through yellow cover (craters). It's like it's 2015 all over again if we discussed this thing. MG's don't counter blobs on their own, if they don't have anything to screen for them cause they get focus fired. Even if a unit is suppressed, have enough of them and they will kill whatever is in front (suppression is like cutting down to 25% the DPS)

The penalty is much higher. Suppression makes your damage output near negligible.

Suppressed:
-75% accuracy
+400% increase on reload times
+400% Cooldown

Vs blobs, you really need to screen HMGs with something and you need them to start shooting at range 45, not range 35.

In general bren blobs are still incredibly powerful, I'm surprised they weren't addressed in this patch.

ofc with multiple vet 3 tommies with dual brens should win vs a single HMG, but the problem is with the speed they do it at, their were times wer id do the retreat with 4 man and they still get wiped.

Mod team has got to address dual bren tommies

Is there any hope whatsoever for the Stuart/AAHT swap ever happening? Not in DBP but maybe in the next patch?

Without the M10 Wolverine call-in Lieutenant is riskier than ever now. The AAHT has really good synergy with the ATG and Pack Howitzer and the Stuart fills the hard AT shaped hole in Lieutenant. It also creates an interesting dynamic where the light vehicle that covers the tier's weakness costs about the same as the other tier. It'd do wonders for the faction.

If not, could something else be done about the tech fork? USF leans so heavily towards call-ins because its tech structure requires (without call-ins) either no suppression, no hard AT until Major or a dangerously late Major.

For example you could do this:

- Change Lieutenant's price to 300 MP 15 FU.
- Change Captain's price to 300 MP 25 FU.
- The Utility Car, Stuart, AAHT and Major tier are locked by default.
- Add a new Requisition Vehicles upgrade to the HQ. Costs 35 FU. Unlocks the Utility Car, the Stuart, the AAHT and the Major.

That'd make it much cheaper in fuel to get both Captain and Lieutenant, would allow USF earlier access to its support weapons to diversify its opening options but it wouldn't accelerate the light vehicles.
