Started to make some improvements for average loading time. Viewing a topic should be faster since yesterday, and main forum view should be much faster from now.

* an abbreviated smiley list (will expand soon to include all smileys)

Big update from Seb today!
-"r" and "S" clickable icons in indexes
clicking on the icon takes you to the first dev post of that type
-a special "r" or "S" pager in the header of each dev post, allowing you to quickly hop
to the First, Previous, Next, and Last dev post

* Twitter API updated: tweets can be submitted to trending again

* Fixed issue related to invisible posts being show in post Preview
* Flood control decrease to 15s from 30s

* Optimized .jpgs, .pngs, and thumbnails for newsposts and avatars (which will now be automatically resized and generated at time of upload)

Today we upgraded the servers that host coh2.org, effectively doubling the processing power. Between this upgrade and Seb's recent optimizations, you should see a noticeable improvement in page load times.

This is great news. Mind if I ask what it's running on now? Have little experience with the hardware required to run busy, capable forums - I bet it's not minor!

* Added game icons to LIVESTREAMS portal, right-column, and list views. Streams are now sorted with COH2 and COH at the top and other games at the bottom. (thx hicksi)
* Fixed the sticky Table of Contents in GUIDES so that it uses all of the height of your browser window (thx Nickel101)
* Made the text and spacing in Table of Contents smaller (ami)
* Fixed a bug in the shoutbox where it could look empty due to many moderated shouts (hicksi)
* Fixed a bug where orange and purple colors wouldn't work in the forums (Seb)
* Fixed a bug where the right column filler image (map) was not repeating vertically on long threads (Ami)
* Added captcha to new user registration to thwart bots and inconvenience trolls (janx)
* Added an image optimizer to scale down thumbnails for highlight images, index images, and avatars, to greatly increase site performance (Seb)
