Do you even lift?

I hope this bug becomes a feature!

A big man can maybe carry the 82mm for an appreciable distance at a good speed.
The 120mm, forgetaboutit.

And anyways, just on the point of realism, men are more valuable than weapons, and even the big guy is not gonna look twice at the 82mm before legging it pronto if position is overrun.

That shit stays on the field :P

Im not sure, but I would think there where perhqps proceedures to quickly destroy especially mortar tubes before abandoning them.

I kind of prefer that the last man legs it, to him carrying the weapon on his lonesome.
As anyways, abandoned weapons are quite a cool game mechanic.

120mm has wheels tho...so it makes sense to retreat with one man

And most russian soldiers have "STRONK SOVIET BACKSZ" so they can do things like retreat with mortars and fire the PTRS standing.

You should try working at supermarket.

You'll discover the power of wheels.

Load 280 KG stuff onto a supermarket cart, sure. :loco:

Maybe the Russian wheel is so magical that even Cons can drive a T34 with bicycle action.

I've said "work".

Not "do shopping".

You know, the stuff you do to get money, not to spend them.

@steel wheels can't merge so they are fine/underpowered :snfPeter:

You can move cars with your bare strength, moving a mortar on wheels is probably not that big deal therefore.

Tiger tank loses its tracks/main gun from the mortar ram.

"Do it Dimitri, ram that tiger with the mortar"
"Da, comrade"

Accelerates to 30km/h and hits the tiger

Dmitri flies away after hitting the tiger tank with his mortar.

You should try serving in the military.

Youll discover dragging shit across uneven and difficult terrain after several days of sleep deprivation, low nurishment and stress, after a forced march with full field gear weighin almost as much as yourself, is fucking different than a shopping cart at yournfucking supermarkets linoleum sheets and paved parking places.

If two men can drag an AT gun through mud, then anything is possible.

Its not like all Soviet infantry have to travel 100km to get to the battlefield instead of being transported by Urals/on t34's and still have full endurance.

I'd like to see this like a feature than bug, while on retreat there's still one guy holding mortar, so bacvk to HQ and it will move but not setup till there's at least 2 guys in squad

IRL, they can't.

Read my post to Katitof.
If you haven't been in the military, you have no idea what you are talking about.
If you think motor march was common, especially on Eastern Front, you really have no idea.

not to mention that wheels aren't going to be a huge amount of help on squish ground. you can use tiny wheels on hard flat surfaces but you need huge ones to make big things move at all on squishy stuff and it's hard even then. you just SpinTires

Compare serving in the military to Coh2 is a little bit fail ^^

Same like I hop into a tank and automatically know how to drive a tank! :D Even it is an enemy tank :D
And if engineers and pioneers can carry an infinite amount of mines of all types and their blowtorch, than it could be also possible for one guy to carry the mortar back home.

That are short distance in CoH, 200 or 300 meters (or look at Semois).
I don't know in which army you served but in the German Military we train to carry heavy weapons for short distances and then set them up (100 to 200 meters) and even the carrying of the 200mm mortar with his wheels is possible as long as you dont walk through the mountains, because as you see he carries it also when he is with his squad ;)

This would be a good feature. Only retreating crews that are reduced to 1 man should still survive.

Obviously this benefits Ostheer more than soviets, because the survivability of it is realllly inconsistant. Mortar squads itself are prone to RNG, buggy pack ups during retreat and is fragile (not for Soviets).

Only fix the 1 man retreat if the buggy/laggy pack ups are fixed. It's only fair...
It makes sense for AT guns to retreat, but not for mortars.... Why don't HMGs do the same then? The 120mm wheely thing can survive with 1 guy running around and not cowering away.... The logic isn't consistant.
