you guys have no sense of humour. |
Hello, and welcome to the inaugural "holy fuck this commander is gay" thread.
First off, I'd like to congratulate our new Rangers on their graduation from Ms. Petunia's finishing school. Please remember not to kill any of the enemy, as this might affect their morale. You're doing very well in that regard so far. Also, excellent job in dying as expediently as possible, as this will also affect the enemy's morale, for the better.
I'd also like to remind the smoke barrage not to have too big of a radius, as that might actually be useful.
On the other side of the equation, I'd like to compliment the sturmpioneers on their close-quarters lethality, and encourage them to perhaps acquire another close-quarters weapon to further enhance their deadliness. Oh wait.
Also, I feel that I would be remiss in not encouraging the OKW to make use of fire. You're on the right track, my friends, but don't be stingy; there's nothing wrong with more flames ! Why not equip the raketenwerfer with a side-mounted flamethrower ? Or perhaps load the panzerschwerer cannon with incendiary shells ? I also suggest considering an ability, available at 2 CP, allowing you to send care packages to the Allies. However, upon opening them, the Allied troops do not find socks and candy, but rather, MORE FLAMES ! Please give it some serious thought. |
That's assuming that you will want to play and explore every last nook and cranny of this game, which most people won't. As someone has stated, this is a business, and the company is trying to offer options for all different types of gamers; single-players, multiplayers, primarily Axis players, primarily Allied players, etc...
No one is saying you have to purchase every last piece of this game to have fun with it.
Sorry, just saw that your post excluded the SPP stuff. Still, I believe my point is valid.... |
Currently to get the full multiplayer experience (so this excludes all the SP campaigns and missions packs but includes all commanders + factions) you need to pay a grand total of 156,71€, I don't think that even FP2 games spill out of your pocket this much money, so all in all, how stupid are you?
Actually an edit, I used the steam page for commanders to do this calculation so I left out the 3 new brits commanders + the 2 new ones, so the amount is significantly higher than this, seriously, try to justify this shit without looking like an idiot.

Well, I don't think that BO changed very much for me....are the Brits just in a bad spot right now ? I switched to playing Ost last night after losing every single game as Brits, and won easily. I know that Ost is geenrally more forgiving, but other players online were saying that Brits are easy to play against right now. Thoughts ? |
try, IS Vickers, IS, tech, Sniper, RE, AT
I'll give it a try...I guess I feel like Brits are so..ponderous. Like it takes forever to get going. I know theyre kind of meant to be a faction that growsd in power in the late game, like Axis, but I still feel as if Axis gets there first. |
Hi all,
I'm not going to post a replay, since this problem stretches over many games. I just can't seem to find a good BO, or rhythm for playing the Brits. I play only in large team games, so some of the problem is my teammates sometimes, but I find that either the Axis have somehow gotten more powerful, or I suck at Brits. What kills me right now is the infamous ISG, which completely negates my use of the Vickers. I would normally put one in a building somewhere, or have it follow my infantry, but the ISG precludes any static defense at all. Naturally, this means I build no emplacements, ruling out almost half of the Brit methodology. After all, if it's not the ISG, it'll be the incendiary grenades. I know these will be nerfed somehow....
Anyway, my normal BO would be Vickers, IS, IS, tech, engineer, 6 pndr, then sniper, or tech to tanks. However, as I've said, I've given up on the Vickers, instead focussing on a more fluid, aggressive approach to playing Brits. Only problem is, the faction isn't structured that way. I usually skip the 5th man, in favor of fielding more squads in the early game, and I've grown to prefer teching grenades before brens/PIATs, due to MG/ mortar spam. Also, I feel as if the Brens/PIATs kinda suck. People rave about the Brens, but I've never seen them do much except with a vetted squad. And PIATs, well....yeah. Not ging to complain about 6 pndrs though, they're good, so I try to build a bunch, but as AT guns are relatively static, this leaves them vulnerable to .... yes ! You guessed it- the ISG, or arty, or grenades.
Anyway, any suggestions are welcome. I'm reading a lot of "OP this, OP that " posts about the Brits, but I'm just not seeing it....at this point, in team games, I'm thinking that the Brit role is mostly support until late game armor/ vetted infantry, with Soviet/ USF taking the lead in early game. Which sucks since I'd like to play Brits in a "tip of the spear" role. |
Well...great then ....carry on |
What in the holy FUCK is up with those things ? Speaking of items which do not leave enough time to react, how about nerfing these fucking handheld doomsday devices ? Can't garrison buildings, can't leave an MG set up, can't fucking do anything without watching it like a hawk in case it burns to a goddamn crisp in 0.0025 seconds. Anything on the nerf radar for this, or is some genius going to tell me to L2P ? |

There is such a wealth of threads right now about how Brits are so OP. While I agree that some aspects of this faction are a LITTLE over the top, my advice would be : suck it up. How long have Allied players had to deal with ridiculous Axis units or abilities ? So now Axis no longer have easy trollolol wins, and the fanboys are getting all bent out of shape because they have to use combined arms and tactics.
DISCLAIMER: I'm talking about 3v3, 4v4. |
