Firing the walking stuka at infantry blobs is generely not effective, since the blobs can easily dodge by the suka by moving on.
(expections apply when said blob has no room for that/is suppresed)
Rather, aim thy stuka at thy enemies support weapons, for they shall not be fast enough to dodge.
General rule: arty is there to kill support weapons and above all esle, aim for thy enemies atg's, for that gives thy the biggest advantage for thine own armor.
If thy goes for arty, 10% faster vet is always usefull on said arty (especially katusha with that nice vet 1 ability)
Vet 2 is the que to fire at will at everything whenever thy wishes.
as thou hath said before, but to make it even more clear, never fire without sight.
An arty barrage fired without sight is an arty barrage wasted (not to mention the element of surprise for the first barrage).
On maps like minsk pocket or trois pont, he who wins the arty war, wins the game.
Prepare accordingly.
Once thou hath fired thy barrage, thou moveth the arty back to thou base on penalty of losing thou arty (if i am overdoing the thou and thy's plz tell and i shall remove them <.<)
Think thats it for the pro artry users, i got some stuff for anti arty user aswell and add something if i think of more.

Rocket artillery really eliminates infantry and especially support team play. Its very sad
The bolded part is their job.
If they didn't, camping with atg's would become the meta. |
Caliope has the health (640) and armor (160) of a medium tank, the wipe potential of the werfer if used at medium range or closer (no risk considering the durability) whilst also giving a nice sustained barrage a la katusha.
Priest is cheaper.

The ost sniper can't garrisons these HT's, they fixed that aswell. |
This is not about the sniper being OP, this is about the lack of counters USF has to counter the sniper.
Best (and probably only cost effective) counter to a sniper, is another sniper .
Guess which factions struggle with snipers the most |
general aaa post
Maxims be OP my dear.
But you don't see that, ostheer and okw will always overperform in your eyes. |
As per title, an interesting game vs sully and pit66 with thunderhun at my side.
Good back and forth on the new (and improved?) kharkov.
With sturmtiger, Jagdtiger, double stuka, facing off against caliope's, rifle's and god knows how many m10's, this might actually be a balanced match-up |
that paranoia guy is ELDAD
ELDAD still kicking around? what a pity. |
Met this british fellow aswell in automatch, and he started the BM about 5 minutes in.
Granted, him and his teammate were crushed by then, but thats not reason to resort to insults.
I send an email with the replay attached to info@relic.com, i hope that is the correct place to deposit this.
I suggest you do the same |
The long and short of my thoughts on the matter: its not just allies, but allies are best suited for it.
It all revolves around the "proto" strat: heavy inf, followed by light vehicle.
General rule: get 4 or more inf units (ostruppen, 3 rifles+lt, cons and volks).
Then you get map by force of numbers and use resources for fast light vehicle (flame ht, m20, m5 or luchs)
The result is as follows: enemy is on backfoot, forced to choose: invest in AT, to counter light vehicle or invest in AI, to counter infantry which leads to enemy losing either to light vehicle, or losing large portion of map, which is then used for fast tech, after which the same choice is forced upon enemy again (AI or AT?) and with the same consequences (lose map or lose the game).
This proto strat is most suiteble for sov and USF, since their inf is short-mid range orientated, and thus best suited for taking the map (ostruppen deserve recognition here, for being so damn spammable, their long range/cover focus is not a hinderance in the execution of this strat), and since high level players have the micro to use all the inf+light vehilce to maximum potential, the sov and USF dominance (with their top notch light vehicle's) is therefor a thing.
To make matters worse, one uses the call-in commanders since they allow you to keep forcing the enemy to chose AT or AI.
How to fix this? i do not know, but the recent increase of the light vehicle phase by relic, may just have made this proto strat stronger.
Anyways this is my take on the problem of allied dominance in 1vs1. |
