Are you all aware that the game is designed for Allies early game micro advantage vs Axis late game micro advantage? It doesn't sound like you are. Yes the early game is slightly easier for Allies but you all are acting like there are no counters at all.
tools to survive the early game against con-rifle spam= Scout cars, good mg placement, flame pios to deny charges, snipers, halftracks to support pushes, spam swagstruppen, Panzergrens to deny charges, s-mines, good gren micro. You all make it sound like the toolbox is empty when in reality it just takes some extra effort.
Plus you all know once LMGs hit the field grens become beasts for just 240 mp and 60 muni but that part is conveniently left out.
Guy who says Axis needs to tech like crazy probably doesn't have the Mech Assault commander.
What exactly is an infantry rush OP? You get the same amount of resources as the allied player so he shouldn't have more squads than you or you are floating manpower or messing up somewhere. Just spam Ostruppen right back at him and dodge molotovs and win, yay! |
The problem I have with Pak 43 is when i build it near the mid engagment area behind building etc. if there is enemy infantry within the range, the sec i finish building my pak 43 it shoot off its first shot at the stupid infantry and give away it position, then it got airstrike, precision strike, rockets fire at it and MP is wasted. Right now i am forced every time build my pack 43 facing my base direction, so that i can toggle it attack vehicle only which is pretty stupid it should auto ignore infantry
That sounds unlucky. I have never had that problem. In fact when I am frantically trying to micro all over I sometimes don't realize it is a Pak 43 firing at my guys and that I should nope out of there. It sounds fairly similar to the other big guns in this game.
Overall I find it reasonably easy to get your money's worth out of a Pak 43. |
The Pak 43 is fine. By the time the enemy spots it they usually lose an important tank to it meaning the Pak 43 just paid for itself. I don't want the game to turn into advanced camping simulator with all of the stationary guns and arty. Maybe there will be a mod for that one day. |
I think unexploding flamers would be OP but it is stupid how you can't buy them again.
That said I don't like the RNG involved. You either wreck everything or constantly firebomb your own squads. That is no way to run a business.
Defensive stance shouldn't be so awesome but dodging the stupid Ostheer skill nades should still be possible if un-fucking likely.

No, because you refuse to use the appropriate counters (double zis guns in your case) you demand a nerf where all other players learnt how to deal with this unit. It had always it's cloak ability just like the luchs.
Which decreases it's speed and doesn't work on close range, so drive a medium tank nearby, position some zis guns and force it by this out of cloak - go for the rear armour with your medium while exposing it to zis guns, taking it easily down like this.
Guys like you also complain that a KT gets destroyed when he charges tank destroyers with 60 range onwards.
Awful lot of manpower, fuel, and micro to take it down in the way you describe. Seems unfair.
Just keep making stuff up to keep this tank with alien cloaking technology. Guys like you can't win with anything else. |
Realy? a TANKHUNTER doing its job is now a bad thing?
That argument can be made about every unit in this game. It means nothing. |
So after the KT has been nerfed and the panther has been indirectly nerfed people try to make "forgotten" units more viable and suddenly 1 YEAR AFTER wfa got released people complain that the JP4 is op and needs a nerf, because it's actually doing its job, destroying vehicles.
If the JP4 was op or its vet 1 ability it was also already one year ago and nobody complained, why the sudden change? We're in the mood to make another OKW OP thread just for the gold old memories?
So because you didn't hear about any jp4 complaints nerfing it is out of the question? The thing disappears mid-fight at vet 1. |
I just went against this and wow is it stupid. It can be in an open field at medium range, shoot, go invisible, and then fire again. As we all know allied tanks start turning their turrets then so they are not retaliating when the invisibility is broken.
It needs to be toned down a little bit. I know OKW has issues right now but invisibility like that at vet 1 is stupid. I like the idea of it vetting up to do large damage since it is so expensive and needs work to vet it that high but it shouldn't be so hard to counter at vet 1.
Button was nerfed into the ground because the concept was stupid and was too punishing so I expect some consideration for this thing going invisible when in plain sight like some Nazi superhero.
My jimmies have been rustled as well. |
well i'd hope not necessarily. 'cos that weren't fun either. as katitof said, hadn't cruzz, and i'm sure some other moders whom i'm sure i'm short shrifting atm come up with other, more innovative solutions?
and again, before i look forward, i want to address the original question again, why did relic change things?
You forget how annoying squads getting pinned constantly when in green cover was. You had to carefully space your squad just perfect otherwise they would get pinned. Also the models would ignore your direction and jump out of cover the whole time. You would have to click a few times for them to get in cover and waste time.
People complained about it a lot back then which drove Relic to fix it. |
The NDA will piss off the community a little bit but it makes sense from Relic's standpoint. Leaked alpha development messes up marketing to new customers. They can't advertise a cool new add on and then when a potential costumer searches for more information they find people whining about broken alpha stuff. All it takes are some trolls to bad mouth the add on a little and customers are lost. People don't dig in deeper to find out more about a game they have no connection with, they go with the first information they are presented with. And if that information is broken alpha stuff, well.
Everyone on this website is going to buy this anyway. They can afford to piss off the community a little bit in the hopes of reaching new customers. |
