[big bug] all mg bar mg 34 and 42 dont benefit from cover

tested all mg with 2 sand bags (soviet ones) facing each other all the mg apart from 34 and 42 get supressed by 34 and 42
Either hmg 34/42 ignore cover bonuses or the other mg don’t have them

Being suppressed does not mean they do not get cover bonuses.ok will test again with damage on to see , but should they not get suppresed in green cover ? why only hmg 34/42 supress and don't get supressed ?

TBH i can' t really see what's happening but if you are willing to test, this is the fastest and easiest way to check it.
Test 1: make a single model Maxim squad. Make it invulnerable, put it behind no cover and see how much suppression it receives.
Test 2: check how much suppression it receives behind green cover.
Test 3: add a model and try to spread it out artificially using any type of vehicle. Although harder, try to target the crew model (by approaching the MG from a different angle at max range).
Test 4: same as before but with invulnerable off. I think this one is the easiest to check cause damage is more intuitive and easier to read than suppression.
Edit: further checking the gif, the maxim shouldn't be suppressed on the first burst. My single first impression is that maybe the model behind the MG might not be receiving the benefits from cover.

there are parts of suppression Normal suppression that is not affected by "hits" and AOE suppression that depends on hit.
If a HMG fires on squad with 4+ entities gets extra accuracy (incremental) and thus it should suppress faster.
To make thing even more complicated the suppression modifier kick. Test without hmgs firing one on the other...

yes but it happens to cal 50 and vicker too i think the mg set up inside the cover and so they dont get bonus

like i thought some mg don't get cover bonues , tried inv. solo maxim vs mg 42 , not only it gets supressed and pinned , it doesn't even show the green cover shield https://imgur.com/a/gBRAP
In my test a grenadier firing on a maxim behind cover would do 8 damage while when firing from sie would 16. Damage reduction and accuracy seems to work as intended.

Man I just tested is steppes behind a vehicle wreck it works...
The reason you might not get shield can be a number of things like graphical glitch or some member of cover.
It can also be a problem of the sandbags and not of the HMGs.

Think you test is a bit complicated, because you have both HMG firing.
Have one HMG set up in the wrong direction so that it does not fire and compare the time it need to suppress in and out of cover (10 out of 10?)

crew members have 1.25 target size that might contribute to the effect.

target size doesn't matter to supression on green cover (cause the multiplayer is greatly reduced by 1/10)
