Langreskaya 1v1 Tourney Aug. 3-4

Relic has just released a new patch for Company of Heroes 2. Besides adding some much needed balance changes, they also brought back one of vCoH's classic 1v1 maps: Langres. Now known as 'Langreskaya,' there are both summer and winter versions. The best way give both versions a proper 'test-drive' is by having a tournament, right?! This weekend (August 3rd and 4th) we'll be hosting a 64-player 1v1 Tournament with all games played on this 'new' map.

Format:

Prizes:

The winner of this tournament will receive a key for the full Company of Heroes 2 Collector's Edition on Steam (79,99€ value in EU / $99 value in US). The Collector's Edition currently offers 20 different Commanders (10 for each faction), the 1941 Theater of War, 25 Vehicle Skins, the Exclusive Collector Faceplate and the entire COH1 pack (vCoH, OF, ToV). Sign-ups and checking-in:

Sign-ups are now open in this topic. The first 64 players that have a valid sign-up will have a 'secured' spot. All other players will be placed on the waiting-list. On tournament day all players will have to check in. To do this, join the COH2.ORG steamgroup chatroom. Simply post the following message in there: '<Playername> checking in'. We'll provide a list on where you can see if you've been confirmed by the referees. Check-in period will open at 14:00 GMT and will stay open for 90 minutes, so until 15:30 GMT. After that we'll make the brackets and you can start your games. Don't worry if you're on the waiting list, there is always a number of 'no-shows,' so chances are you'll be able to play if you check-in.

Result Submission:

Make a match-thread in the Events Central forums after the brackets have been released. The threads have to be named like this: "R1: PlayerA vs. PlayerB." Use this topic to get in touch with your opponents and the referees. After your games have been played, post the result of your series in the same thread. Include the score, the winner, and provide the replay of the game(s). Upload the replays to our REPLAYS system on COH2.ORG.
