I haven't played for some time, but my ping to EU servers is usually around 100. For the last few months, I have been experiencing this command delay. |
So every point you cap, you look at first, even toward the later end of the game when the majority of micro is used up in tank battles?

This is fundamentally the thing that bugs me about Ostheer. It's the one faction that's expected not to reach the end of its tech tree in 1v1 (ignoring USF Armour Company/stall-until-Pershing shenanigans, but it's still viable to tech Major in 1v1). It'd be like if Soviets were expected to cap out at T-70s and SU-76Ms, or if the OKW was expected to cap out at Luchs and Pumas.
It's a design flaw, nothing more, and I can only hope it can be addressed within the scope of this patch.
I don't know why Relic doesn't want to change resource/price management in different game modes. They have stated a few times that they will not change price and resources in different game modes and it doesn't make any sense to me. Just make panther a lot more expensive, or change its Popcap in 3v3 and 4v4.
A question from the balance team, do you think it is feasible to change price and popcap in team games? From a balance/design standpoint, why do you think Relic is opposed to this idea? |

Do not make Ostheer UP, because it is not anymore.
I agree with everything except "buffed" Panther. Im ok with vet nerf, but is just misses A LOT.
Ost T4 is more viable and thats a great thing. Ostwind is a bit too powerful i you ask me. Brumbaar needs to vaporize infantry. |
I would say utility would be much more beneficial, not just DPS buff. Some utility option would be minimap detection at higher veterancy, Muni-Halftrack (reduce ability CD or cost),ATG movement speed increase (because Towing is out of question at this point).
FRP sounds good, but we either need them all gone, or we need all factions to have FRP. I think ATG movement speed increase is much more beneficial for Ost. |

Yea, this thing is probably the most useless unit in the game since it can be decrewed.
Pretty much this, although I'd rather it have very low pen (works vs. HTs, that's about it) but lots of suppression. Basically a 'bofors-lite'; no brace, no self-repair, useless vs. medium vehicles, but amazing vs. infantry.
I think since it costs FU, it should be able to counter HTs and M20, also does enough damage to light tanks like T70 so they cant 1v1 it. Otherwise, it should be countered easily by ATGs, all mediums (even some better mediums like AEC should counter it IMO), and of course should be easily countered by indirect fire. But it should not get wrecked by infantry at all. |
Yup, you can very easily de-crew it, but because it's so useless there is no point in taking it. The number of times they have been built this year could probably be counted on one hand.
So IMO it just needs to be more durable, maybe vulnerable to flamers but not small arms. Also it could use a good penetration (I honestly don't know its current pen!!!), just to keep light vehicles (not mediums) at bay, and not counter them completely. Or maybe a Munition switch (HE for AoE damage and Suppression, AP for armor and Aircrafts). |
