Really nice analysis, finger crossed for multiplayer-competitive (ladders, seasons, tournaments) |
it's time to move on from 2xusf to 2xITA |
In all honesty, I also believe that you are cheating and your explanations don't help but make things worse.
Could you explain it?
Coz for what i see from both documents it doesnt seem so clear |
LOL
You could have said... Hang on I'm working on it.
You can go to court and refuse to say anything all the way through the trial, that doesn't mean people will wait for you.
for what i know he had 1 week for writing it? |
The thing that needs to be understood here is that no one at Relic is actually capable of deciding if someone is map hacking or not. They don't have functioning tools to check for hacks and they also don't have any people working for them that are actually familiar with competitive C0H2. The way these cases have been handled in the past was that people contacted Sturmpanther with their suspicions and then Sturmpanther checked for hacks by watching replays (as well as asking other respected high-level community members for their opinion). It seems that in this case Sturmpanther and the community asked Relic to ban Seeking but they declined because Seeking is a "high-profile case". This might also have something to do with the new community manager we recently got. It would be very naive to think that Relic and their skeleton crew could actually watch a replay and decide if a person is map hacking. To spot hacks and judge a replay you need to be a good player with competitive experience (the likes of which were mentioned in the first google document).
Prob all of this drama wouldn't had happened if we would just wait to see seeking respond and than making a "trial".
my 2 cents |
for what we know it's also possible that kimbo didnt know about that or did i miss something? |
Which gaming community doesn't love drama? It's entertaining/interesting (in a sad way of course if you look at it seriously)
My personal opinion, having 8000+ hours of this game since the beta, is that, based on the clips provided, the accusation of maphacking is not completely proven, although it is tough to prove such things in coh2. Personally I think it's most likely game awareness/competitive play. However, I do recall about 8-10 months ago seeking's level of gameplay in 1v1 was top 100. Over the course of those months he did train intensively with top players and has recently got better in tournaments overall. If he has been maphacking, it would've been prevalent in WC2020 I suspect, and that was not the case, unless it was something occurring recently. Though I will say being a friend of seeking, there is a personal bias so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I for one have always loved the community and watched carefully, even with those who have been sus in the past( Calling out Kimbo because I love him). But I have personally practiced with Seeking and have seen him improve his aggressive gameplay style and tactical gameplay awareness. He was originally a 2v2 high level player, but switched to 1v1 to get better. All high level players can agree with me that we have all trained with him at some point in the last 6 months. I was a bit shocked when I saw how many top players agreed the clips were suspicious, but I respect all of their opinions on this matter, as it is serious. My final conclusion to this long copy pasta is that instead of hanging the man, I would suggest first having a suspension or just having refs keep very close tabs on the games Seeking plays in the future for the next 6 months.

I mean, that's what is being done?
AE said they give him one week to appeal and explain what is going on.
Yeah but doing it on voice chat it's the way to go so that they can insta reply.
If it's going on like that nvm, remove my comment. |
what if we let seeking speak directly to accusators in a voice chat/meeting?
So that everybody involved can tell his opinion and argue about the situation?
I mean accusators collected a lot of clips, that's fine.
Seeking trying to explain the clips, that's fine.
But in both scenario there wasnt the other side ready to reply on whatever was being said.
my 2 cents. |
I think it should be time to fix this issue.
When we look at leadearboard 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 random is properly done.
When we give the same look at 2v2AT is kind of a mess.
In the first page , axis and allies side, you can barely see a proper 2v2 team. Most of guys that are in, are ppl who play togheter but in 3v3 or 4v4 and get rank in 2v2.
I think there's should be a better way to give to those teams a 3v3 or 4v4 rank whatever they're playing instead of getting rank on something they're not playing at all.
If not in coh2 at least fix this in future coh3.
I really dont understand the idea behind that: i dont see any problem to give people, who are a team of 2, that play 3v3 a rank as 3v3 team even if they're just 2.
Btw resetting stats time to time (like having season) it would be correct as well coz people who were unstoppable in a patch doesnt mean they're going to be as well strong in a future patch.
That's my 2 cents.
