When I play Brits I like using it. More like a harass unit instead of a front liner like the Stuart. Then again I'm a huge fan of using light vehicles.
If I had to pick any buff, I'd like it to be cheaper. |
I throw my hat in that it's worse then before. I noticed when moving around obstacles or trying to take sharp turns my tank wants to show its rear instead.
I typically used reverse move when I wanted to reverse, now it just seems to decide to turn randomly. |
Some of the popcap changes are insane. If I recall that also inflicts manpower bleed. So factions that had more units are punished even harder. I haven't played USF in a while but I can imagine how much it hidden hurts them. |
I'd like them to reduce the cost and reduce the health at the same time. To me it is real annoying to flank it with a tank and watch as it takes too long to kill it while the ally player responds.
To be fair, I'm against any artillery unit that has a crap ton of health. |
HMGs in buildings shoot way outside of their max range. Very annoying bug which have huge effect on a game.
I thought that has been going on since forever? |
I've found one. If you use Mechanized Assault for Wermacht you will constantly hear that Agrens are available to deploy everytime you have 280 manpower. Drives me maaad. |
You could always get them down to 1 man and never reinforce them again? Get a free squad you can almost throw away. |
I voted for CoH2 in all areas. I went back and played CoH1 recently and I was kind of surprised at how much I looked at it through nostalgia glasses.
There are some small things that start to add up to how clunky it is. Strange hotkeys, reinforcing one at a time, no fence hopping. Add in the fact the unit AI loves to jump out of cover, you get a game that just feels akward. Don't forget jeep and bike pushing, man that was lame. You can still perform it in this game with certain vehicles, but it is no where near as bad.
Balance is suggestive, I prefer CoH2 more. 75% of the british army was worthless, Panzer Elite felt really uninspired. If Wermacht got to vetted grenadiers you basically lost the game. In CoH2 you always stand a chance in coming back, even if it's very slight. CoH1 the game was pretty much over after a certain point. There was also some really cheese tactics such as invincible gren producing bunkers and flame pio spam.
The only things I miss about CoH1 is how much stuff each army had. There were a lot of units with plenty of utility. Then, add in commanders and you have a ton of options. CoH2 is stripped in that regard, and commanders add a bit of flavor, not really define a play style(That's why I loved Mechanized Assault). |
I feel like the core problem may be the flame burst duration. I've noticed that the croc and KV-8 seem to spew fire for a long stream. The Hetzer seems to burst slightly then stop, or at least that's what it seems visually.
I agree with everyone that something seems off, it's not doing as much damage as it should... |
I tried my old Agren strat. Wow how these guys have fallen. I guess when they were made to fight cons you can clearly see the differences.
As Zero and Moped said, you can't advance because of instant model loss. By the time you get close it's far too late. If you do get off a good flank they will either focus fire them or just fallback the squad you are about to shoot at, accomplishing nothing. |
