Hey guys,
So I'm mainly interested in modding DoW3 but given the similarities between DoW3 and Coh2's modding tools I was curious if you guys had a way to load a mod on game launch to replace files outside of simple tuning mods that load on the start of a match. This is how things were done with DoW2 for example, likewise I could also get the game to load custom .sga files from a mod directory which could replace things like textures clientside. Are either of these possible in CoH2?
As it is right now with DoW3 can't load anything with a new name, I can only point to existing abilities etc to do stuff. So the limit of how much "new" things I can do is based on whatever campaign files etc I can latch onto and overwrite for multiplayer.

What about outright replacing the Attrib.sga and Data.sga within the game folder itself with modified ones? Has anyone tried something to that effect?

The game has built-in checks to verify the integrity of both modded .sgas and original. Trust me, if it was possible, it would have been done long ago.
