No one said anything about winning using this strat...the argument was that Allies blob and expect to win. Blobbing is an equal opportunity tactic.

Well guys, it's not about power, it's about fun playing with.

USF game is nearly always the same and that's lame.

Why do you think that nearly nobody play them?

Even Axis would gain by having new units to shoot!

Rifles with or without BAR are still rifles. Axis have so many more infantry options. Mobile unit suffer the same faith. USF need more stock units.

I would gladly buy any new USF cmdrs that bring new units in the game.

With the Brits incoming who will want to play USF ? That not ok, It's not cool for a great game like COH2 to have a «gimped boring» faction.

Add your voice to mine asking for more stars on the US Faction flag !

I'd just make the sniper a standard unit, available through LT tier, but maybe have the option to also train a marksman in a para chalk, at the cost of making any additional weapons unavailable ? Then they could fire at 25muni per shot.

The dodge jeep should be non doctrinal in T0, make Captain motor pool and Lieu Support Center. (With mortar.)

Buff Major Arty, buff ambulance speed, buff bazooka damage to 100 and make it more accurate.

Increase Riflemen cool down at long range(nerf), buff vet, and make 260.

Boom, the factions fixed.

Well, they could buff the RE's Volley Fire a little bit more, so it doesn't take an eternity to engage. It's supposed to help the rifles early game, but it doesn't deliver.

Maybe unlocking the BAR should give automatically 1 BAR to every rifle squad, the second one could be bought, if the player wanted. The whole faction goes up without being overly OP. Considering the infantry company, every squad would be able to buy just one M1919. I don't know if it would be good.

What do you think?

the free bar in coh1 was awful, don't bring it back. getting a free officer unit is already enough of a boost.

You dont seem to have a deeper understanding how CoH1 works. The BAR upgrade was part of the US tech tree and worth 200 manpower and 60 fuel. That's hardly free. This was well balanced and for sure not awful.

suddenly facing rifleman who got 2 bar out of nowhere is one of the worst experience of playing as the wehr in coh1. there's way too much rose tinted glasses and nostalgia for people looking back at coh1.

even the free officer in coh2 is borderline OP. Wehr is already quite manpower hungry and then the USF suddenly get a thompson and bazooka/bar equipped officer.

Indeed. I would much rather have a 1 man 82hp soviet sniper with faster cloak than the shitty 2 man squad that drains 90 mp from a single max range on the move gren volly and that dies to a single rifle grenade.

Also COH 1 Bar had suppression ability for 60 munitions, and it could stop knights cross holders dead in their tracks if they tried rushing you, when the american 30cal HMG had hardtime suppressing them :)

Suddenly? How is this possible? You need about 20 games to figure out the common bar pop time. A BAR can hardly surprise anyone.

why shouldn't the USF buy their weapon upgrade individually like the rest of the faction? The USF already get the free lt and the free captain.

While I will agree that 60mu for a bar or bazooka is too expensive, they would be pretty good for 45 mu per piece.

another issue is the pack howitzer is too fragile and too expensive for what it does. the sov and wehr mortar are much more cost efficient.
