If someone wants pink tanks let them have them. If you do it as described it will not annoy anyone else.

I never play custom games so the whole feature is pointless for me, but I guess I am not the only player in the game so I don't mind if others have fun with it. I just don't see why it is so restricted.

This is problematic because 1) it reduces the incentive for people to purchase skins, since you lose the whole "showing off your cool shit" aspect that makes other game economies, like those in Dota 2 and CSGO, so lively; and 2) it opens the door for abusive use of the skins system, such as creating skins for yourself that make units more distinctive or easier to see. This second reason is why Valve has all sorts of restrictions on client-side modifications in their competitive multiplayer games.

Haha, Relic = 99% - Creator = 1%

I believe standard rate for Valve titles is around 25%. If Relic decides to go this route, it will likely be a similar percentage.

I guess that what inverse proposed is right. If they won't abandon the shop but will continue to add user created content to it ofc. As for the money I think it should be up to creator of content: it he wants to make money from it its ok to sell it in shop and its ok if relic also makes some money from it. If the creator wants to add free content to the shop he also should be allowed to in my opinion.

What if you had custom aesthetics on your vehicles that you want to see but you don't want to see the custom aesthetics that your opponent uses? Doesn't the option in the menu disable both?

I for one just want to see WWII related stuff in game, even swastikas (I know there are legal problems though).

It's just my opinion, but I'm fine with them being exclusive for Custom Games until they can unify them with good moderation. Anyway, I don't wanna see something like Vietnam war inspired decals on a Sherman.

They should make it so you can make your own commanders too, maybe even factions if we're lucky. As long as relic regulates it ;)

Skins and Faceplates and Decals should be available in all game modes... HOWEVER this wont ever happen because they want to make money...


I do however agree with Hans in they're should be a "reality check" on each skin/decal.

This thread is about cosmetic changes, what you suggest would effect game balance...

We'd see Katitof uploading a commander to the workshop of "Soviet PTRS conscripts, Shocktroops, Marked Target, T3485x2 callin and Spynetwork

cause the warhammer universe has that kind of flexibility, and a lot of crazy stuff doesnt look out of place in wh40k. where as if you had some bright flashy stuff in ww2, it would definitely stand out and look out of place.
