Ambulance Handbrake

The USF Ambulance currently has a toggle for its healing aura. You turn it on and the Ambulance heals everything around it but can't move. You turn it off to move it again.

Why not replace this with the more user-friendly Handbrake ability?

USF Ambulance
  • Add the Handbrake ability.
  • Make the healing aura turn on automatically when the Ambulance is stationary.


This is a straightforward QoL change. It doesn't change what the unit can do at all, it just makes it a lot less fiddly.

agree

it wait so long for the healing ability to turn on and i can't turn off the ability with shift move order.

Shift-move is the biggest benefit of doing this.

A second perk is you get the Brace icon, which makes you much less likely to issue to a move order to a locked down ambulance.

While we are at the qol changes can the rear of the AA half track be made the front?

The problem with reversing it into battle is that it screws with pathing, and sometimes when you tell it to switch targets it starts doing 360s, which makes it hard to suppress blobs

the balance team wants it to be micro intensive why not just remove attack move from it.
Most of my ideas are probably bad, - but I try and share lots of them

and maybe some of them will be good an improve the game

My suggestion is that reverse button change faction and force the vehicle to move backwards. That might help reduce the frustration of trying to manoeuvrer the vehicles.
