I thought Soviet commander votes will be quite spread out among Shock Troop commanders and a few others. A commander that drains your muni like no tomorrow without providing anything that even reliably kills or helps you kill anything would be voted for a revamp? Who would've thought. And shock troops commanders aren't bad in themselves, shocks are. In: COH2 Gameplay

IIRC right now it's global 75%, but what would be the consequences to lower it to say 50%-30% ? About KT specifically, what blackdream says. Its simply lowering the risk, making it much more forgiving to play recklessly. It also impacts general counterplay. In: COH2 Balance

It augments the core faction in very meaningful and supplemental ways. It counters specific stock allied strategies. Just because theres not a large community of people trying new strategies to keep the metagame fluid doesn't mean that the existing metagame is wrong or even problematic. Because what, are we looking at a situation where light vehicle rushes are a problem for axis or that having light vehicle rushes countered a problem for allies? You know, its quite hard to come up with new strats, when balance moders make sure the moment you do something new, its slaughtered by nerf bat, because new = op. Heavy tanks could be best example here, they used to be dominant meta, sure, but nowadays there is no single situation where 1 heavy would be better or even comparable to 2 meds for effectiveness. USF is pidgeonholed into 2 strats, both resolve around light vehicle rush, UKF got only single BO and they still are slaughtered, the moment you do anything else, you failed because anything else was nerfed out of the game. OKW, same as USF. Sov and wehr have most freedom here, because they both are generalist armies who do not have and massive holes in their armies and are not balanced around gimmicks. In: COH2 Balance

Like when ppsh cons spam worked very well or Lendlease there was not every game mobible defend. It changed back to mobile defend, because other soviets strategies got nerfed. Like rushing m4c shermans or just spam 6 cosn with ppsh vs wehrmacht ( where axis had to get g32 to counter it / hold in) But now after all this nerfs, t70 is the way to rule again --> Puma is great vs t70. Yeah, mid game rushes being effectively removed from the game definitely added to the fact that soviets need light vehicle rush every single game, its either that or guard spam. In: COH2 Balance

The only bad thing about it is that it's getting boring to see it picked every single game. The real strength of this doctrine comes from the fact that it puts a massive plug into the only hole wehr has. In: COH2 Balance

Im pretty sure I've never cracked the top 100 for 1v1s, and the game feels plenty different after every patch for me. Pretty sure your rank that week doesn't determine whether or not you simply care enough about the game to pay attention.... Sure, the game does feel different patch to patch for everyone, but unless you're that top 100 level or better, its not going to change much for you other then "no longer 1 infantry type spam" or "no longer 1 heavy to win them all" meta changes and if you're rank 300+, balance is completely irrelevant for you as you'll be able to win against these opponents using literally anything and you'll lose to literally anything. Hell, just look at ullumulu and his sub 500 ranks, he considers even soviet combat engineers an OP unit, should really opinions of players like him be taken into consideration? I don't think so. Top players are hardly all knowing oracles of balance, but 10-30 of them will have much better and more accurate insight then tohusands of casual, nooby ukuleles. And since you referred to my current rank, it is a result of 2 things - good understanding of all factions units and their balance and lack of regular practices, had I played on a daily basis and therefore polished up my micro(which is pretty decent, top 1-3 2v2 players and teams I've beaten with Zarok was hardly him carrying me through these games) and especially awareness(my actual weak side, which comes from me being simply "old"), I'd be able to stick to top 100 for at least 3 factions. So yeah, my rank being where it is, actually IS a direct result of me not paying enough attention as my awareness, especially in late game is rather poor, unless I fight someone known In: COH2 Balance

It would need a big rework to be usefull. I'm quite positive that one of the abilities they had was salvage, so there is that.
