Regarding the accuracy, I have the same experience with the JT. It misses far too often.

Accuracy on JT is now 0.06/0.05/0.035.
Elefant has 0.055/0.045/0.03.

Considering neither can fire on the move and thus do not have movement accuracy penalties, the Jagdtiger is definitely more accurate on paper (and should be in the game obviously).

well balance team (Sanders mostly) has sworn up and down every pro player that has tested the patch has said USF is OP. I guess you just don't know what you're talking about Von.

There was an issue where the Comet (and coincidentally also the Sturmtiger) had heavy crush capability but didn't have heavy crush squad AI, so the unit would still try to path around heavy crush objects despite being able to crush them. It will be fixed in the real patch.

Reduce its target size, plz.

Why? Its target size is 26, which is the same as every other superheavy (like King Tiger or Elefant).

The Jagdtiger gun has -8/8 degrees of gun traverse (moving the gun without moving the hull). The Elefant has -15/15 so almost twice as much, which is why we are "overbuffing" the gun traverse from 6 to 12 and the hull traverse from 12 to 16 (which is the same as the Elefant).

So the Jagdtiger should still be slightly less responsive than the Elefant (to compensate for the Jagdtiger's higher armor and hitpoints), but it shouldn't be too far behind now.

Off the top of your head do you know if that +80HP crosses the extra shot threshhold?

Yes and no. For standard AT shots (160 damage), Elefant (6,5 shots) and Jagdtiger (7 shots) will have the same effective health versus most AT weapons / tanks now. However, the +80hp means that the Jagdtiger will not die to 6 shots and a snare, while the Elefant would. So it is slightly more survivable in a chaotic environment with multiple damage sources.

I'd like to see JT vet 2 also get the +20% accel that the Ele receives and an arc added to the supporting fire ability so the vet 1 bonus isn't wasted.

I don't think adding an arc is possible because we don't have access to animations etc. We can have a better look at the veterancy bonuses though.

We decided to throw in some Jagdtiger changes. They are quite extensive but there will be no more updates to the balance mod, so I'll post the preliminary changes here to discuss.

Jagdtiger
The Jagdtiger is currently in a spot where it's not very usable in a lot of modes and maps because of its very low mobility and limited combat effectiveness (bar versus anything that's straight in front of it) as compensation for its very high frontal durability and range. We'd like to move away from this "all or nothing" approach and make the unit more well rounded like the Elefant, while still keeping some of its higher durability character compared to the Ostheer counterpart.

- Decrease Health from 1280 to 1120
- Decrease Range from 80 to 70
- Decrease Armor from 525 to 450

- Accuracy to same as Elefant at 70 range or slightly better
- Decrease Fuel Cost from 280 to 260
- Decrease Popcap from 23 to 22
- Increase Gun Traverse from 6 to 12
- Increase Rotation from 12 to 16
- Increase Acceleration from 0.5 to 1.2

- Replace vet 5 (not decided yet with what - perhaps an increase of maximum speed when out of combat)
- Replace engine upgrade (not decided yet with what - perhaps an increase of maximum speed when out of combat)
