I believe one player Sismonti is using a maphack based on the gameplay and a review of the replay.
He continually targets my (Hon3ynuts) Units in the fog of war using artillery despite having no vision or any knowledge whatsoever that they are there, primarily with pack howitzers
4:00 - Targets mine sturmpioneeer laid that he did not see left of bot CP
4:15 - targets volks on Strat point north of south vp
4:20 - camera looks at sturmpioneers left of south VP in an odd position hiding behind bushes no vision
4:40 - camera looks at volks not in vision on south munitions then bombards them
9:45 -targets Raketen north of south VP with no vision
10:00 targets 2 volk squads camping cover with no vison near south vp
11:45 targets raketen and mg nearby OKW med hq
13:13 watches Okw volks on the munitions point no vision
13:20-13:40 Bombards camoflageded JLI left of bottom cutoff that he can't see.
I'm sure there are more instances but I'm not sure what the burden of proof is or what verification process there is but these are just the first things i noticed going through a bit of the replay.

In general over the last 6 months I have had more trouble finding competitive games and that makes it a little tougher to judge balance. Havn't had as much time to play since the giveaway though.
Balance does seem okay currently though. It's not skewed badly in one direction but that can vary with the skill level of the players.

I think I should point out that I am not saying OKW are trash. Overall the factions seem pretty balanced. When SiphonX releases stats we usually see that win rates are pretty even. This covers a large range of players so skill usually wins out of faction.
I would agree with this, But I think they are weak because they can only really rely on alot of infantry early on which is fine for 1v1, but tough to pulloff in 4v4.

Snipers aren't very strong at the moment. They have been toned down significantly over time.
1. Camo does not work in combat
2. Bonus acc for light vehicles (specific vehicles)
3. Bonus detect range for LV (specific vehicles)
4. 360 mp and 9 popcap is a rather large investment
5. Everybody has access to some light vehicle as an asymetrical counter to the slow and vulnerable sniper
I do agree they are not the best designed unit b/c they ignore cover but I think that right now they are not particularly strong.

Regarding the IS2. People are right when they complain about it being OP but so is Pershing and Tiger. They all need to be toned down a little.
The IS2 and Pershing seem much cheaper than other heavies b/c they don't require more tech than a medium. KT, Ost tiger at least cost more to unlock than say a p4.
Soviets seem quite strong in the vehicle phase b/c the infantry all blows up the same and Soviet infantry is cheapest. Plus they are not missing units or mechanics in their roster like some other factions (rocket arty, TD, heavy tanks) as blvckdream mentioned the 4-5 units that are strong for soviets late game.
They are however quite weak until they get t3 units out since t1 and t2 don't offer much in the way of good bridge units.
Looking at a lot of other factions they have clear problems that might be fixed to bring them in line more easily than changing soviets just b/c they can win games (ost no light tank, okw healing or light vehicles, usf weak late, brits )

The most effective way to avoid this strategy is to produce vehicles that have more than 640 hp and require more than 4 hits (or 2 volleys) to kill.
You probably also need to use infantry to effectively screen/scout for tanks.
The Katusha may have some RNG involved, but over the long term it can be quite efffective. Usually you should try to fire on units that are revealed, relatively close to the katusha and are under fire from small arms or vehiceles in order to maximize damage.
I do agree there isn't really a good counter for USF outside of doctrines with indirect fire. I find myself obligated to pick the calliope doctrine as it does provide a hard counter to strategies such as this which might be otherwise very hard to deal with.
Another effective counter can be smoke, to force attack ground, or WP which prevents firing and slows. The raketen is quite strong offensively but still suffers from losing 2+ models at a time to explosives if the gunners are targeted.
Raketens are quite strong but also quite vulnerable still. Probably the biggest differentiation is if you are able coordinate your units to overwhelm them at once and subsequently destroy the guns when they do get decrewed. If you are inflicting 290, 580, 870 manpower damage on your opponent surely you will gain a big advantage, especially if you can do it without losing a vehicle

Cheat mode is an actual game with a mod that lets you pick commander abilities
Its only gonna be different if you pick the wrong ability in the menu when there are multiple versions or units

Soviets, USF, OKW all seem quite close even after the tourney it's quite hard to call.
Seems to be a clear consensus Ostheer brits as 4th/5th, though Ostheer is still fun and worth playing to me.

He started College like 2 months ago and wanted to get more involved rather than play tons of coh2, pretty normal stuff. Hes still playing just less than the summer when he got unbanned and streamed for like 8 strait hours
