They're are a variety of bulletins that give faster xp, including a 10% one for Rifleman It's vastly different from purchasing vet right off the bat. Vet speed bonus at least still requires you to actually use the unit in combat Yes it is and I have never argued that it is same nor did I suggested that buying XP should return, yet it is XP manipulation. That is just a certain user doing his usual spin/troll and putting words in other people's mouth. Even Lago the person I respond, to seems to think that it is XP manipulation. They went to so much effort to take it out only to put it back in. I suppose they draw a distinction between veterancy acceleration (which Conscripts can also get now) and buying vet for resources. And thus my suggestion for bringing back the "elite" theme ability for the "elite" commander with similar mechanism and possibly for rifle Company... In: COH2 Gameplay

Vetting up faster =/= the manipulation Relic was talking about imo. Otherwise they would of gotten rid of the various bulletins that do it too 7 man cons also get vet speed bonus. I think Tiger ACE is most similar example to vet manipulation they were talking about.. Spawning a unit that already has vet I guess they're okay with Tiger ACE because its endgame unit and at least its only vet 1 now Faster XP gain via doctrinal ability is xp manipulation and is available in the game currently. And that was actually my suggestion about the "elite" doctrine. Replace the STr with an ability that could provide a number of bonus like faster XP gain an/or an extra vet level. One could introduce a similar ability for rifle company also. Actually the main problem with the original commander was the Tiger and the fact that one could use the ability to give XP to allied units. In: COH2 Gameplay

Stormjäger You wanna redesign a successful unit that many people use into a failed unit that nobody uses? Kind reminder that there won’t be many patches until support ends, so there’s no nerfing everything in the horizon like you want. Only units in desperate need of redesigning will be given that. Are you member or Relic or the MOD team? If you are not, stop pretending that you are. And for your information many of my suggestions have actually made into to the game. And for your information the "successful unit" you claim was only built once in the tournament (although available 3 games) making one of the least build infatry so it is not that "successful". Stormjäger Ah yes, the Stormtroopers that are so problematic they need a redesign. They're also not elite troops apparently. They are an infiltration unit and should be designed as unit that operates behind enemy lines so they can be as elite as Partisans. There is reason why they where only available to encirclement doctrine. Feel free debate weather they are "elite" but quite simply they where not include in the original "elite" commander. Rifle Company, Ostruppen Doctrine, Firestorm Doctrine, Elite Troops Doctrine and Soviet Industry were all hit. Yet veterancy manipulation was reintroduced with elite armor... In: COH2 Gameplay

Bonus could include a number of thing like extra vet level and/or faster XP gain. Then one could redesign them to be 5 men infiltration/scout unit. In: COH2 Gameplay

I only remember using it a grand total of once in automatch. It was useful. But usually it isn't, because you won't have vehicles stationary long enough for infantry to use them as cover. And the slightest movement makes all the models of the squad run around. It would've been great if vehicles could block enemy small arms fire and create an entire mobile cover "aura" behind them for infantry to stay in during assaults, but I guess that's something for a CoH3 if there ever is one. An equivalent is rather easy and I have suggested many times for the Churchill smoke. Churchill has little reason to have defensive smoke but lot of reason to have smoke that provides bonuses to infatry. Now if one replaced the smoke with one commandos grenade gets Churchill could act as infatry support tank. In: COH2 Gameplay
