Making it worse would put it closer to a T-34 which would probably make it even less attractive to use because then people would likely generally go for the safe bet of getting a generalist vehicle over an AI specialist, as is the case with the Hetzer. It needs to be good in order to be worth the risk of getting one instead of AT capable vehicles. It makes perfect sense. KV-8 is currently very expensive and as you say it is gamble. By making iit either a call-in or lower powerlevel one could use it t3 build support by SU-75 or one would gable less since the investment would be smaller. As for the T-34/76 and hezter comparison they are simply of the mark. Hezter is allot cheaper/weaker and it supported by less AT assets. One could bring the power level of the KV-8 to around 100-120 so that is was at least cheaper the Soviet premium mediums like T-34/85 and M4C so that would not compare so bad to them. In any case PzIV should not have so much trouble dealing with an "AI" tank like the KV-8. In: COH2 Balance

Other lights have early game shock value AND late game utility, 221 becomes "field medic" and/or resource booster, 222 hardcounters infiltration troops and is reliable AA, M20 has its mines, kubeljesus and UC have least of that utility, but its fine for mp only vehicles, if there is nothing wrong with that, there is nothing wrong with giving M3 purpose past 5th minute and there is no need nor reasonable justification to take away anything from M3 for it. And you have completely missed my point because not the 221 nor the 222 nor m20 nor kubel has the shock value of the flamer clown car. In: COH2 Balance

Specialist AI units ALWAYS had better nades, since day 1. They don't seem to be better then other elite infantry nades and in some cases (PGs nuclear nades) are worse. If you actually took the time to read my posts or even the OP you would know that I have said that shock's grenade is superior to the cooked grenade. The cooked grenade is used by paras/ranger. PLS start reading more carefully instead of forcing me just to repeat the same thing over and over again just for you. In: COH2 Balance

ALWAYS. having a slightly better nade isnt an issue, certainly not game breaking and far from needing to be on the 4th page of a discussion... if shocks were more versatile i would be on board with bringing the nade more inline with other, more flexible units grenades. but they are not, so it doesnt need to be changed. What I have pointed out so far is that Shock where not designed to better grenades as claimed. As for "specialist" the closest thing to Shock troops are ranges/smg paras who use the cooked grenade that is inferior to shock's grenades In: COH2 Balance

While certanly they are strong they have very little utility or flexibility. They certainly wont wipe anything like pgrens do with their b nade stg combo. It simply means that contrary to the intention as explained in he patch notes they where not brought up to be "on par" but where made superior instead. In: COH2 Balance

The cooked grenade is not exclusive to AI specialists. The bundle nade is though, and the patches aimed for a lighter nade than that (as Elchino said, a middle ground to the normal nade) with shorter fuse than the bundle. bundle grenades are available also to AT PG so they are "not exclusive to AI specialists", in addition I would rather not go any type debate about it since the only reason I used the term is because it is in the path notes. According to your logic, giving Shocks a bundle nade would make sense. However I assume this would result in an overall buff to the unit. It is not "my" logic. The only point I have brought up is that change increased AOE but did not increase the fuse and now the grenade is superior than other grenades. As for weather giving bundle grenades to shock would be a nerf or buff I would rather say it depend on how much lag there is. In very high lag it would a buff else it would probably be a nerf since it would be easier to dodge. In: COH2 Balance

You prefer if it was a carbon copy of standard model grenade OR bundle grenade. I think there's room for a middle ground. I might see things different but i consider making Shocks grenade a copy of bundle ones a straight up buff, not the other way round if bundles were made to be exact copies of Shock ones. No this is not my opinion that is actually what "to be on par" means. If the change creates something superior to cooked grenades due to AOE and something superior to bundle grenades due to fuse then one is not bring the shock's "on par" with other grenades one is making them better... Yes it does work that way. The only justification for the current shock value of the m3 is that it becomes less useful as the time goes by. In: COH2 Balance
