The luchs hits the field at a similar timing to the 251, yet is far more durable. This necessitates the AEC(and stuart) bejng available at the timings they are, which correspondingly makes the 251 tough to keep around. Push back the luchs timing and it makes a lot of sense to push back stuart and aec timing. I also want to point out that the flamer halftrack is far more lethal against infantry then the luchs, but trades durability for it. I dont think the 251 should get much by way of buffs lest a unit that already has devastating potential become overpowered. My suggestion would to make mecha cost the same T1 move the extra cost to engineers upgrade that also take longer to complete so that Luch can be delayed. As for FHT my suggestion would be to to make it more durable but move AOE from autofire to an ability adding AOE for a limited or using a "grenade" type mechanism or using the Centaur strafe (as AE has done for WASP in his mode). Flame vehicles would be allot more balanced if their damage was timed limited. In: COH2 Balance

To be fair that was mostly thanks to wonky pathing making it harder for the flame HT to escape. SmGs at close range do seem to do allot of damage to light vehicles. In: COH2 Balance

I have simply provided the numbers that might explain why Hannibal's claim that "The normal KarJ of an Obersoldat is about equal to a vet3 Penal SVT" might be misleading. PTRS have an atrocious time between shots compared to small arms. At least their DPS is usually about 1/10 of the SVT DPS, so those two guys add about 1/5 of a model, at least normalized to infinite samples. The high damage makes them an RNG cannon vs infantry. But as I said above, those stats might actually not mean as much as we have thought. My point is that with x170% accuracy bonus from vet going up to 211% from red cover + the bonuses from "to the last man" the DPS of PTRS start counting. In: COH2 Balance

The normal KarJ of an Obersoldat is about equal to a vet3 Penal SVT. So with unupgraded Obers this could happen regularly, but the MG34 blows the DPS through the roof Penal PTRS has an accuracy of 0.15/0.105/0.06 now if you multiply it by 1.3x.1.3x1.25 it actually goes up to 0.32/0.22/0.13 without even taking into account "to the last man". Given that they do around 20 damage per shot their DPS is simply not negligible. In: COH2 Balance

My point was that the ability to retreat in and of itself isn't a drawbacks as you can always choose not to use it. There is a slight drawback to it since it replaces reverse but it is a minor one.
