Speaking of, I wonder if this is a buff or a nerf to Osttruppen. In theory they should now be able to drop a few Cons rushing at them if they're in cover. But at the same time, once the Cons get within 10m and nullify their cover, the squad will drop faster than Pioneers to a KV-8. And that's without the PPSh upgrades... |
Well Soviets have an easier time with Munitions, so I'd call it even. If you choose a doctrine that's munitions light, as Soviet, you'll float like a fucking boat even if you try not to. |

Please tell how the IL2 bombing run is better than Stuka plus recon run? Or have the German only perspective clouded any semblance of balance in your mind?
Is it that slow deployment time of IL2 that makes it better? Is it the big obvious plume of smoke that says I AM LANDING HERE that makes it better?
Stuka is too cheap and has too many things going for it. Its abusive and OP in my eyes. It has an inadequate warning system for its power. And its far far far too cheap.
Edit: In case you forgot the IL2 ALONE is 240 Muni not to mention if you want recon run.

This surely means that the M5 is being moved to T2. Cant see that soviets only get the M3 if light vehicles is getting more important.
If they moved the M5 Half-Track to T2, they'd need to nerf it to fit T2 levels. Currently compared to the SdKfz 251 it has more armour and is bullet proof. It also has an upgrade that's better than the 251's in nearly every way, especially range.
With more survivable light vehicles, what will become of the poor poor tiny soviet AT gun?
They should reduce the cost to 120 - 150 and reduce the call-in timer to 5-10 seconds. There's no way they can be effective by themselves, so they should be used in groups and the costs should reflect that. |

I think he means the SU-85's 'zoom' mode. I disagree, while it'd be nice stock on some vehicles, I prefer spotting scopes as they are, great for StuG's in pairs and amazing on Scout Cars. |
I think AT Guns and AT Tanks should just have a "Vehicle Only" engagement mode to prevent these shenanigans. |
Hah, an MG 42 in France was something that only Rangers or Airborne dared to charge at, and even then they took at least a couple losses.
Now every farmer with a rifle has no qualms about charging headlong into it, knowing that only one, or maybe two, of them will actually get hurt by it.
Back in France, Grenades were actually dangerous too. Now the only real danger are bundled grenades and guard grenades. |
Airborne starfe, airborne supply/support weapon drops, zombie bunkers that could reinforce, V1 rocket, propaganda instant retreat, nuclear pinnaple grenades, sticky bomb 100% engine crit on anything, wehr vet, knight cross holders, nebelwerfers one shooting everything in building that single rocket hit, rifles being able to spam mines AND GET VET OFF MINE KILLS, tank trap abuse, PaK camo 3 shots.
And I haven't even started talking about OF factions.
There was much more gimmicky or plain retarded and stupid stuff in vCoH then people even want to remember.
Boy do I miss these though. I played CoH1 the other week and used them, easily kill 4/5 Volks every time at least. I can't even get that result in CoH2 here with a Bundle Grenade. |
