They take too long to build where I want them, it's easier to just set them up somewhere safe and in the event the enemy goes to attack there.. Panzer III still had limited uses. When something makes up most of your mechanised forces, it doesn't just vanish when you move into the next version. They had plenty of Panzer III's left, they just stopped making them and a lot of them were converted to StuG III's. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: HOLY POTATOES !!! patch 3/2528 Mar 2014, 05:58 AM I don't mind that Pioneers can fight, when I first played the beta for CoH2, Pioneers / Engineers that could fight was one of the first things I noticed and liked. I do think Pioneers are over-performing though, alone they can take on a Conscript squad, and in groups (2-3) they can chase away Shock Troopers. Ontop of that, Soviet Infantry also seems to be under-performing (4 Grens still beat 5 Cons at close range, 6 Shocks are less threatening than 4 Panzergrenadiers), so that only amplifies the problem. Thread: THE PROBLEM WITH THE COVER SYSTEM28 Mar 2014, 02:33 AM There are problems with cover though that need to be addressed (man feels like I'm talking about CoH1 again). Check out this video, and observe how the Shock Troops, when ordered into cover, 4/5 Shock Troops run infront of the cover and get slaughtered by the Panzergrenadiers. Promoting macro and cover usage is good, but bad AI is not excusable, it's game-breaking. Those Shocks completely threw the fight by running in-front of cover and dying. If they had gone to cover like they were supposed to, they would have won. In: COH2 Balance

I do agree a BA-64 would have been cool though, it's odd that Soviets don't really get any vehicles until T3/4, where they get Tanks. The M5 Half-Track makes sense though, since the Soviets didn't have armoured Half-Tracks, just trucks. You could give them a ZIS-6 which is already in the game, but it's not armoured or armed like a Half-Track. In: COH2 Gameplay
