Have you ever considered though that only ever being on the receiving end of something might cloud your judgement?

I am not sure if ST actually collides with hit boxes it probably uses AOE to hit vehicles.

The Sturmtiger rocket collides with hitboxes, because it will collide even with infantry models that are in the way when you aim the rocket a significant amount past the target (so when it should technically fly over them). It's one of the ways to make the Sturmtiger hit way more reliably. Because that way if it undershoots it hits where you wanted it to hit, but if goes towards your aimed spot or overshoots then in either case the collision means you get a full hit anyway.

And yes, you are right: While it is possible to really make a tank shoot above another one, it practically never happens

I meant that overshots (technically flying higher than undershots) will always connect with vehicles because their hitboxes are very tall. In the same way that the IL-2 or the Sturmtiger rockets will connect with vehicles even if they visually overshoot it. So the same overshot that would fly past infantry and hit somewhere behind them will connect with a vehicle, increasing the chances for scatter hits.

Scatter off set is there to fix the issue of moving vehicles.

If the units are moving away from the projectile many shot would fall sort.

Well that is the biggest issue. Ostheer's power level in teamgames is excellent and Grens are fine when it's easy to back them up with 1-2 HMG 42s and Pioneers on a smaller piece of map where fights are more concentrated, or when you have a 251 or an OKW Battlegroup on the front lines for forward reinforcing. Ostheer teamgames performance is the reason why they haven't been getting any straight up buffs because it'd risk breaking the faction in those modes.

Any change has to be checked against all modes and that's where straight up Gren (or Ostheer) buffs run into a wall.

If there are going to be any changes they'd have to be smart changes that don't straight up increase the power level but rather influence things like momentum, so that they wouldn't influence the other modes as much. So for example I would think about something like adding a 150mp/15fu medics upgrade to the HQ (but keeping the medic bunker so players can choose what to invest) so that Ostheer no longer needs munitions for medics, so Grens can get their LMG 42s faster, as the upgrade really helps their early-mid game but isn't overly available right now because Ostheer needs to spend a lot of munitions on healing and tellers.

Yes. Add scatter hits and you're looking at maybe a 3-5 percentage points decrease in the chance to get hit at medium and far ranges. At close to medium ranges nothing really changed because all ATGs and most vehicles have overkill accuracy (100% or more) against 20 or larger target size vehicles at these ranges, except that moving accuracy was slightly reduced.

That's maybe 1-2 hits per 30-40 minute game that miss when they would've hit previously. That's nowhere near enough to justify an experience of ATGs or tanks now supposedly missing a lot more or missing multiple times during engagements; that largely seems to be perception and confirmation bias.

It's clear that the TS changes won't suddenly make mediums extremely durable or that the effects are even noticeable enough, but there isn't much else we could do and it's better than nothing. So far along with the heavy tank changes it seems to have given mediums a comeback, even if the TS changes are largely perceptual (as in players might interpret the changes to be more powerful than they really are and are now more willing to build mediums again), so that's good. It's been fun seeing mediums being used in the tourney and in automatch.
