Recon and off maps should be exclusive regardless off the state of the ml-20. |
Target tables to give it more damage against armour at vet 1? Be more exciting at lest than +1 shell |
Giving it more utility might make it attractive. It wouldn't have the killing power of the T70 but could scale past it. Power spike vs longer term investment. I think a smoke barrage would actually go a long way and help T1 soviet with mgs and schweres ect. |
The su-76 is a pretty underrated unit, and with good reason, there are simply better things to spend those resources on, if I need AT capacity, I'd rather build a Zis and save that fuel for something more useful. I love the su-85, in my opinion, it is the best TD in the game in price-performance ratio, especially in team games, if you have two in front negates all Axis armor, it is not damage or precision what It makes it so very effective, is the vision, "Focused Vision" is a great skill and if you have excess ammo you can use "Track" to catch tanks or detect support weapons, maybe they should move "Focused Vision" to Vet 1.
If it's under rated with good reason I don't think it's under rated... |
Tommies and sappers are 4 man unless upgraded, CE are 4 men, partisans are4 men, RE are 4 men, major is 3 men, Pathfinders are 4 men non soviet weapon teams are 4 men.... Allies have small squads as well.... Which the larger bundled nade does extremely well against. I think it too should be normalized against the cooked pineaple because unit context is OP. |
PW\Katy\Stuka -12
Cali\Prist - 15.
Sexton - 14
so the same population for the calliope as proper self propelled arty. thats not insignificant either. thanks by the way for providing the numbers |
whats the pop costs of various rocket arty? |
Tracking reveals inf on the minimap not tanks. That is not as benificial for a pure AT unit.
The combination of these abilities still leaves the su85 with nerfed speed stuck in it for a few seconds and vision is still in a cone.
If you use tracking without spotting then it is free of penalties. But then it does not see further then stock recon units i wager.
Other td's have either rof, hp, armour, camo, skill shot, turret, actual ai, speed or a combination over the su85. Its one and only signature feature over other td's is spotting and imo that is the justification and has to stay. Standardizing is not the solution to everything.
If the su85 gets something else then tracking or some pop or vet adjustments i am fine with that.
tracking also gives a small proper LOS buff, when combined with focus sight the su85 can see deep into the enemy lines |
there are games, on redball etc. where the mid-VP is constantly contested late game, both sides have lotsa armour, arty, and offmaps.
every INF that gets sent into the VP to flip it, gets mullered by all available tools at the players disposal.
Here the durability of INF is essential to survive long enough to cap it being shot at/pinned/smoked/barraged.
here the difference between 3-7 man squads becomes crystal clear, and with OST/OKW having mostly 4man squads, suffer alot from this, even vet3 Grens suffer with their -20% received dmg, not to mention if they were fresh from the barracks due to the constant wiping with artillery, and when everyone is throwing desperatively all INF into the VP, the allies IMHO have a clear advantage.
could we adress that?
by giving smaller squads ''hit the dirt'' or something along those lines?
thats why i think the damage reduction should be tied to tech not vet. even 50/50 would be nice. however hit the dirt isnt going to help at all vs explosions which is the primary thing that makes small sizes suffer |
worst ATG in game unless you constantly pump muni into it.
off topic here but i feel the need to point out that the usf AT gun performs incredibly for its price point of only 270mp. its better than the rest at lights due to the fastest rof and better than the rest with additional munitions. it also has the longest range. not the worst, just different. kinda like grens tbh... |
