They're never going to stack up against Penals when you have to pay extra to have the same capabilities for worse troops. That is a problem of Penal that need no side tech and not conscripts, side tech is good from a design point of view. It the Penal that need to looked at and not conscripts especially if OKW start get toned down. In: COH2 Balance

The two closest tanks to it are the OKW Panzer IV and the Soviet T-34/85. The Easy Eight is really, really good, but it's also in Rifle Company. It's hard to sell diamonds when they're floating in a cesspoll. I would say Soviet T-34/85 and Ostheer PanzerIV J to keep the doctrinal. And is far better than PanzerIV J, I would trade Panzer J for Easy8 any time (more tenacity, better AT gun + moving accuracy). In: COH2 Balance

The easy8 is not the counter part of Panther. The Panther is not a main battle tank but a hybrid TD with MGs. It is designed to take Super heavy tank like the IS-2. The Easy8 is the equivalent of the T-34/85 and is not designed to take out KTs (The M36 has that role). It has equally good armor, more HP, crew, smoke launcher and superior AT gun +3 mgs and the pintle is superior to that of the Panther. The unit is fine for its cost. I would trade panzer H for a easy clone in heart beat. In: COH2 Balance

So ppsh now gives hit the dirt, PPsh and repair? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: OKW September patch discussion3 Sep 2019, 13:48 PM Jump back to quoted post3 Sep 2019, 13:21 PMSander93 I disagree, I use the Hetzer rush a lot in 3v3s and it has really good shock value even at SPHQ being 120 fuel. It's easy to compensate its lack of AT by building 2 Raketens in preparation. Allies can't do much about it without medium tanks as it quite easily kills ATGs and AT infantry, and Allied lights (except SU-76, but who builds SU-76 as their first T3 unit) can't really touch it when there's Volks and Raketens around. SPHQ for 80 fuel was really pushing its timing to the max already. At 60 fuel I believe it would come too soon. It might not be as good in 1v1s with slower resources, but it seems like it's not possible to fix it for that mode without making it broken in team games. Simply use Cp requirements in all call in vehicles (or only is super heavies.) In: COH2 Balance

The USF mortar currently has a longer setup and teardown time compared to the ostheer mortar (2.0 to 1.9) You also leave out the worse scatter and mid distance aoe besides the near distance one (1.5 to 2, 0.75 to 1). Essentially, the USF mortar has no advantages over the Ostheer one besides (curiously) a shorter minimum range for smoke barrages (15 to 25). This is fine, it's a t0 mortar, and that's how that is balanced out. But don't pretend it is statistically better than the Ostheer mortar in any way when it is absolutely not. I keep seeing this brought up but the faster teardown/setup myth is a holdover of when it used to be a supermobile orbital strike mortar, and those days are long gone.
