Tightrope has tried RE 1919 spam on his channel if you aren't aware/follow him. From what I can tell he's had decent success. I'm kind of curious if 1919s affect Volley Fire at all now...
I haven't been following the patchnotes but if there hasn't been any changes to volley fire since the RE veterancy increase it should still affect it. |
yeah for sure, any luck with rechie 1919 spam?
I only ever go balls-to-the-wall like that against AI hahaha. But it is pretty fun because they'll vet up fairly fast (well, at least they did before the vet increase. I haven't done it since then) and when they hit vet 3 they gain a 5th man. So it's basically like a 5man con squad that can: suppress; do damage with an lmg; build MG nests, barbed wire, and light vehicle mines; reinforce for less than Riflemen; and repair vehicles too.
But of of course you lose the patented Rifleman survivability and accuracy and the only infantry snare in the faction. That's why it's pretty ballsy to do against players. I guess you could make good use of the light vehicle mines to counteract it somewhat but I don't have the APM for that haha. |
fighting positions are only 60 muni
Sure but it's funnier when some axis elite infantry tries to walk up to you on a flank and you pin them before they get close enough to drop a model.
Thay've got their uses. Stick a 1919 on an echelon and into a building or in a foghting position for rifle grenade, mg, and lmg action for extra memeage.
This isn't some sort of strategic masterplan, it's for funsies. |
My first experience playing video games online was on the PSP. I used to play a bunch of games but most importantly I used to play Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops Plus. I spent a lot of time on it.
One day a hacker joined a lobby, and he wasn't the usual kind of hacker who just makes the game suck for everyone, he was one of the hackers who tries to make it funny for everyone. He did crazy stuff like throw flashbangs like a machinegun and other things.
Anyways, his name in MGSPO was "Don Corleone", and I being a kid and all wanted to be like him and emulate his name. So, after a few minutes of thinking, I decided I would be a Don too, but instead of being Don Corleone, I would be Don of something. I honestly just came up with San Diego on a whim. I've never even seen the city. |
Good morning all,
Was in a discord call the other day and was chewed out by some other randoms about how retarded I was for using a 4 cons build in a 4v4 gamemode and how you should use penals instead.
Now I'm well aware that penals are better early game, but I'm also aware that they cost more to upkeep and have less utility all throughout the game. I've been tinkering a bit between doing only cons, only penals, a mixture of the two (for mainline infantry of course, I use support weapons always) and penals always seem to get the shaft late game where they feel like papiér mache against axis tanks where conscripts can hold the line and keep my MGs and AT guns in the fight.
So really I wanted to know what everyone else thought of this question and maybe I could get some interesting insights that I didn't think of. Thanks! |
Shouldnt be too hard to add a voice chat.
i cant always type out full sentences telling my allies what to do. The communication is quite bad wiht pinging alone.

Pay nothing for grenadier, I'm sorry try pulling a rifle nade or getting lmg42 without investing 40 fuel. Go ahead do that. let see how it turns out. Why not try a 1 min rifle nade/mg42 too.
In case you didn't realize, you actually get that in addition to teching anyways. LMG42 is not a sidetech, it's included unlike con grenades.
Granted, 7man comes free with teching T4, but when soviets have teched to T4 you should already have tanks on the field, which is OST's strong point anyways, not its infantry. SOV has to pay to get it earlier at T3. |
For more tactic game we need only half reverse speed.
Hahaha true. |
...T4 tech requirements mean nothing as you get it eventually. After that how do you justify less costly unit out performing another. Because the games gonna reach a point where every player has access to all tech and only resources will be spent on unit and upgrades. What justification does tech requirement have then of less costly units out performing more costly one. There isn't any other wise OST t4 units would be priced lower Since they come later than all other vehicles but that wouldn't make sense in end game(or even post tech game)
Cons are a bigger manpower and fuel investment, sorry to say. Well and munitions too. You have to buy the grenade package or risk getting shat on by units in buildings or light vehicles. You don't get 7man until t4 or you spend manpower and fuel to get it earlier at t3. You pay nothing for grenadier squads to unlock their abilities. Nor do you pay anything to unlock VSL. It's based on cp. |
It's not overlapping, it's the literal point of a Shock Army. Shock Armies were characterized by mass deployment of Submachine Guns and Artillery. It's about losing the theme of the Commander.
^^ He's right you know. |
