The only people saying these units were fine back then was aaa, lolcake and usual scrubville who relied on them(this goes for ele and JT abuse as well).
If youre wandering why nearly half the community has left the game in the last few years... these "posters" are a prime example since for some reason relic seem to listen to them, which is why they cant get into Esports .

It had absolutely nothing to do with relic overhauling balance all the time without any clue on which direction to take, changing shit no one asked them to change and leaving shit unchanged that required dire asap changes, delivering patches with more bugs and stealth changes then actual fixes and intended changes, using a god damn nuclear warhead on units that required surgical changes, fucking up with tournamnets, creating crapload of drama, laying of stuff who actually knew their shit and replacing them with janitors to the point there god damn community member made a better balance patch in one go then they could in last 2 years.
It wasn't that at all, it was just 2-3 players on forum

Im from beta and i cannot remember your so called balance issue. The only light vehicles that existed was the m3 and nothing else because of the callin meta. you didn't use shreks to counter the m3 especially since the m3 was usually the rather common sniper+m3 combo and could nail your shrek squad with simple kiting.
i thought that the double shrek upgrade was added for easy use.

kek'd so hard. shocks are gardening trash. commandos, rangers shit all over them so hard.
Commandos are all about initial shock.
They have absolutely no scaling.
Vet stars for them are fancy decoration with +25% acc being the only vet combat bonus. They are the best unit to retreat at vet3, but applying French doctrine in CoH2 won't get you far.
Rangers are alright, but they are much more expensive to get, require muni for thompsons and lack smoke, they also have inferior durability.
Rangers are great, don't get me wrong, but they aren't better then shocks in effort vs result equation.

Yes and no, while OKW panther does indeed cost the most, just like any other OKW medium and above vehicle, that extra fuel isn't tied to units performance, but its a faction design tax supposed to limit your armor numbers/force you to get it a bit later since schwerer got costs equal to other factions T3 and it doesn't take a genius to know that T4 level units in T3 cost tier aren't a good idea for balance, which last December have 100% proven. |
and u also forget that the comet is the best allround complet paket.
it is fast, more armor, better vs tanks, has grenades, can shot farer, etc etc
Its also most expensive medium tank in game, locks you out of fast repairs and another unit.
Its mini tiger and it acts and costs like.

Which isn't brit exclusive problem. All LMGs except DPs should take 2 slots to use, Paras can remain exception as they are doctrine defining unit.

Brits destroyed Coh2. There, I said it. Giving them superior late game to Germans was asinine. Since we are obviously stuck with this bullshit design, a Panther buff is needed.
The Panther was nerfed to the weak performance it currently has when it faced
1) US without the Pershing and low sight range Jacksons
2) and Russians with SU-85s that had worse penetration.
This is simply not the case any longer + British lategame dominance has been introduced. No reason at all to keep the Panther small.
That's not really excuse to OP panther again and brits were designed from get go to counter panthers and tigers, so using these against them is sub optimal.
Pershing isn't a factor at all, because its a singular non stock doctrine and it can't solo microed panther anyway.
SU-85 pens heavies better, but its completely one sided fight vs panther right now as before it was RNG on the slugfest as it lost 50% of potential DPS and is basically turretless, armorless, slow panther and hardly counters panther. |

In my opinion..they get all the nice stuff from every faction....only a better version from the copy units.
the get strong tanks, strong infantery, fast repair, strong emplacement, strong mines, strong uniqe units, strong grenades, strong air force, strong artilleriy, can build caches, sniper, strong viewrange /scouts, flamers, mörsers, best cost / power effective units (example bofors)
what the hell did they dev thniking? "hey...let them give all the nice stuff...noobs will buy it...and we will be rich"
Play brits.
You'll learn a lot of their weakness.
And if not, we'll see you in top 10 in 2 weeks, right?

What about the critical (engine damage). I am pretty sure that it didn't cause engine damage.
I will test it again later.
Critical is dependent on HP of target.
If at the end it'll be above 75%, it should crit.
If it didn't, but took 1/4 off luchs, then its bugged. |
