I think that the grens reinforcement cost should be lowered. I mean, yea, a Brit section costs more initially but (afaik) the Brit section reinforcement cost is only 25 vs gren 30, which very quickly nullifies the initial 40 mp difference in building cost.
Tommies reinforce for 28, same as rifle and also have 5 men when upgraded, so it makes sense for them to cost as another 5 men 280mp squad. |

Gren are 4-men squad need 240 MP = 60 MP per model
Rifleman are 5-men squad need 280 MP = 56 MP per model
i dont remember it well but Gren also cost more reinforce than Rifleman
i just wonder y cheaper rifleman is better than Grens

Riflemen and Infantry sections are supposed to work in the same way are they not? Why can vet 3 riflemen roam the field with impunity whilst grenadiers and conscripts get raped by anything that does damage?

I never seen a structure put up a magical shield until UKF came along. This wont make those two related imo. Anyway, if population cost is required to fix an issue, fine by me. Put a pop cost on it. At least it wont fire at targets it cannot damage anyway...
Half schwerers HP, make it get 25% more damage from everything and slap magical shield as well if it makes you feel better.

No longer have replay, but would you consider 7 squads of guards, all standing so close that unit cards essentially overlap each other and having little space in between as "blob"?

Because its not that hard to hardcounter blob with ineffective AT, also that is over 2200mp. 9 axis squads.

Well, rifles can't heal other squads, tommies don't have AT snare or even remotely useful nades

Conscripts atleast have utility and good durability at vet3. Doctrinal ppsh is really good on them.
Give conscripts dp28 upgrade with t4. That way grens can upgrade g43s doctrinally. I see no issues with this. Then every faction has equal options. Cons and grens would finally be able to not get outscaled as hell if they chose certain doctrines.

Grens have utility, therefore can't compete against tommies or rifles, doctrinally they have even more utility on form of map hack and good all-range weapon(in case 240mp60muni squad being weaker then 280mp120/140muni squads for whatever reason isn't enough of an argument for you). |
