When was last time you have seen vet3 halftruck without dps upgrade?
Was it still in CoH1?
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

I never use them, as Obers with the STG44 upgrade (Special Operations doctrine) are much better if you want some CQC infantry. Falls are NOT CQC infantry. In fact, they are very WEAK as CQC infantry. I am all in for the inclusion of Soviet Assault Engineers: That's shock troops(in coh2 sense). Assault engineers emerged as first "shock squad" in siege of Stalingrad, them and only them were supplied with steel body armor. Some players are absolutely terrified of the sole thought of possibility of facing a unit that might be an inconvenience, no matter how weak the unit is/might be, they will say everything they can to keep the status quo. You know, like certain reptilian on the topic of conscripts for example. OKW has THE easiest and fastest hardcounter for UC, only people who are in utter denial about its effectiveness complain if you take a look. That being said, you'll likely to have platoon command unlocked before even these 90 muni are accumulated, so keeping wasp behind that doesn't really make a lot of sense anyway, if you don't rush AEC and REs(for new AT nades), you're just asking to be stomped anyway, so no one would be sitting longer in T0 anyway if WASP was there. Maxim was main HMG of soviets in WW2 up until 1943, when it started being replaced by SG-43 Goryunov. DSHK was not primarily used as anti infantry HMG, but anti air one, that includes the double wheeled cart unfolding to a tripod we have in game, other then that it was used on multiple vehicles as anti aircraft gun. The cost to performance ratio. One might be ok at best, but 2 are perfectly affordable as well and will bring serious firepower. OKW has 7 different types of infantry filling literally all the possible roles multiple times. Stripping STGs from volks all together and just locking weapon upgrades for them behind doctrines would be sufficient change that would do 4 things at once: - discourage mindless volkspam and volkblobs - encourage ose of multiple other infantries - leave them with enough muni to use off maps more reliably - allow cons to actually compete if relic remains with hard-on for not giving them anything late game In: COH2 Balance |
