What kind of backwater logic is that? Ofc use of X unit can determine outcome of the game. Hell, vast majority of games where you don't use mainline infantry or tanks will end up in a loss, therefore mainline infantry and tanks are OP? People who account for opposing units, anticipate and counter them will win. People who won't, will lose. That's the "2%" you're talking about here. And what is even worst - its an low efford artilery unit which requre minimal input from a player to be effective. If Allies got their own KT version which would have increased win rates by 2% its would have been alright, because you actually have to play and control your armored unit to be effective. This is not how you balance factions and its not how you balance the game to begin with. That's how ALL of indirect fire and artillery units work. It might blow your mind, but static artillery pieces are not exactly micro intensive units. In: COH2 Balance

Pretty much you will have to make 2 with varying levels of success. If it is USF vs OKW that is a massive advantage in MP which will lead to steam rolling since USF mortar has most scatter. You think that ATG will just sit there while shells land around? I don't know if you are fully aware of it, but moving ATGs can't shoot. Make it move, then move in with what you've got. But yeah, I do agree, mortars are pretty lolzworthy in coh2, given how they were responsible for most killed and wounded in ww2, even outshining the ever present artillery. In: COH2 Gameplay

The opponent can make a tank as first vehicle while your hoping your shot lands. For soviets its not to big of a deal because you need it for the other meds anyways so getting Katy first can cause huge bleed. OKW is the weird one because they can just retreat if shit goes sideways so high reward low risk but shitty unit. USF is the one with the hardest problem due to their arty kind of sucking for 1v1 in regards to squad wipes. Did they removed mortar from T1? In: COH2 Gameplay

Even at high levels/ranks vehicles still trip mines occasionally, especially USF vehicles if they lose their RE early on. Whether or not it's reliable enough for the cost/risk involved is another question. Because.... people don't just a-move vehicle and leave it be, they'll react and retreat instantly, instead of trying to crawl forward couple of meters to roll over another mine, plus sweepers are a thing. But then again, its some clown rank where it works for you, but I wouldn't consider something effective with assumption that opponent is literally braindead. In: COH2 Balance
