question then why don't OKW and Brit get t0 indirect arty????
Basically what other people said. I'd add though that Brits have the WASP if needed and get a quick T1 base arty as well.
OKW on the other hand does only face early MGs when playing against Brits. SOV and USF need some time to tech if the even chose that tech path (also the Maxim is real shite at suppression, I've had it more than once that Volks crawl across open field to throw a incendiary into my building), so at least against those factions an early mortar is not a must have.
If OKW *were* to get a Sniper, I would do it in a different way.
OKW - Battlegroup HQ
Sniper - 380 Munitions
1 man unit.
Rather than dropping units, its more of an HP vampire, with vetting it has suppression capability similar to RE troops.
Vet 0
Vet 1 - Wounding Shot - 20 munitions
Sniper attacks target of oppurtunity, going for wounding shot and forcing squad to be slowed (yellow suppression)
Vet 2 - Movement Bonus
Vet 3 - Faster shots
Vet 4 - Wounding shot now causes targeted squad to be pinned (red)
Vet 5 - Self heal when out of combat
...But as stated earlier, OKW really doesn't need a sniper. Honestly in 1v1, what their problem is is timing, maybe a light buff to Volks.
To be honest no sniper should get a movement bonus. It is already annoying as fuck that they can kite you indefinitely on long range and are actually quite mobile. They should not be able to "sprint" in any form apart from retreating.
And although I find the idea of a wounding shot neat, I think giving it suppression would cause a lot of issues. Since suppression only slowly lower when the squad is in combat, this ability would take out a complete squad for the rest of the fight (unless there are some of those magic recoveries that sometimes happen despite being under fire). Rather give it Ostheer's stun shot.
In dawn of war 2 (maybe it is just the elite mod), income from points increases over time. I was curious if you could do this for Company of Heroes 2 and you can. This could add a bit more strategic depth in the game. Decapturing a point would cause more fuel and munitions income damage rather than an inconvenience. It would also reset all cut off sectors causing even more damage and give even more of a focus to focus cut off points and cause new abilities to more 'damage' such as Encirclement's Break Supply Line.
I condemn this witchery and demand Ægion must be burned at the stake!
Yeah, well even if I knew how to mod, people like me don't have permission to use COH2 modding tools.
No idea why you try to perpetuate that. It is wrong and I am sure you know it.
Everyone can make mods and different builds of the game, it's just a matter of wanting to sit down and learn that stuff. CoH2 does not have extensive mod tools anymore, but they are not locked for "people like me", but literally everyone except Relic.
If you want a different build of the game that much, go and build it. No one keeps you from that, and most of your suggestions could technically be implemented.
Even one of the moderators thought on of my suggestions may be good, the one for repairing sandbags. But you, like much of the community disagree. Because you believe that it, along with the rest of my suggestions, are made by a whiny pussy.
Elchino was the only moderator directly replying to it afaik and he actually had the stance of it being pointless. But just get on with it, most people disagreed and did not like your suggestions often with good reason. I've made plenty of suggestions myself and only one very minor one was implemented. No big deal. And also no reason to regularly push for one's own suggestions.
Yeah, set my post invisible for being angry. What next, set this one for threatening at gunpoint?
If you can't tell the difference between directly flaming and insulting other forum members and slight trolling, only then I understand that you are surprised about your post being invised. Just follow Wheaton's law, that's 90% of this forum's rules.
Not sure about this special instance, but there are plenty of sound bugs in thr English version too. A destryoed UC will also trigger the 'emplacement destroyed' line etc.
If what you say is true, why I don't see JT, KT on "pro" games? because if If go to sc2 for instance I can play with all units, with your thinking you will have only 2k people playing this game, if this game were in a good balance state, lest say 85-90% then this game will have thousands of people playing it, how many people have installed this game only to uninstall it due to lack of balance and bugs, why age of empires have more players? I can and play age 2 right now I won't see this disastrous game breaking "skill plays" this game is played because it is unique and there are other like but by any chance it is even 50% balanced.
The most viewed Twitch channels and most large tournaments are 1v1 matches. Slow, heavy units are quite vulnerable in these modes because the unit density is low and slow units are likely to get flanked.
from 2v2 upwards you will see JT, Elefant, ISU, Tiger etc regularly.
And yes, there are still a lot of bugs and unbalanced things in this game. Still comparing it to AoE2 in that regard does not make that much sense, since the games are very different in their whole premise, setup and completely different fighting mechanics. AoE2 is also in active development (at least the newest iteration) by a large company. CoH2 is next to abandoned and kept alive by the community with obviously less manpower to do the work.
