Thread: COH2 winter balance mod - discussion4 Feb 2020, 12:01 PM my opinion on the gren mp change: Why make the grens cheaper then conscripts? do they performe worse now, sure cons 7 men is a bit overtuned but this aint no reason to make grens cheaper then cons. Meanwhile artillery field officer still costs 30 mp to refresh . the heavy change: It basically does nothing, they still will murder infantry, if unlucky in 2 shots, basically tiger is better at killing inf then a stupa, and is2 better then kv8 or 2 t34s, while still having a lot of armor and hp, which the other units lack In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: How to counter Soviet Urban Defence3 Feb 2020, 17:33 PM In the early game i find it importent to have some sort of mg there to pin them down, and use mortar to do the mp dmg. I woudnt recommend shooting the building itself though, unless its a wooden one. Basically try to make him pay as much as possible while you try to get your tank out If your playing okw keep in mind that going for Grand offensive doc has an arty strike for the tank commanders to kill the buildings with ease In: OKW Strategies
Thread: Wermacht Machine Gun spam vs USF1 Feb 2020, 23:08 PM some rule of thumbs when playing usf against wher 1. spot the mg with rear echelelons, if its an open map try to flank, if your playing a diffrent one stay in green cover and slug it out 2. dont get the mortar, its just to slow to force it of, better going for pak howitzer 3.remember usf powerspike is not in the first minutes in the game, but rather when the first officier arrives (i would suggest captain) and the LV(flak truck), try and play defensive until that point 4.if you do all this right you slugged it off with the mgs didnt eat a lot of mp dmg, and can afford a quick pak howitzer, to hardcounter this mg spam, if 1 isnt enough you can always get 2 and get really cancerous this is strictly 2vs2 perspective, i hope i could help In: Strategy Desk
Thread: Soviet scout car1 Feb 2020, 20:57 PM when i thought i have seen it all, the scout car basically is only there becouse okw has no snare early otherwise it has no real purpose against Ostheer And if you are really such a casual with ostheer that you have a problem with soviet SC just use the Panzerfaust range bulletin and a doc with sprint (jäger inf for example) and start laughing about your opponents build In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Why do people think ass grens suck1 Feb 2020, 17:28 PM they are kind of op in the early game(had cons in green cover, they just rushed me and won), but get useless as the game progresses (when schocks, bars etc arrive) becouse they dont scale so good. You basically sacrifice lategame scaling for an early game punch ( assgren mg42 combo is very strong early). All in all i think they are fine and balanced, just dont expect them to do anything vs upgrated or more vetted allied inf In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Undeniable Easy Eight problem.31 Jan 2020, 14:42 PM the easy 8 lacks a clear role, thats why its bad why get such an expensive tank that gets hardcountered by pak spam, panthers jp4 and such, when you can get a sherman that gets countered the same way, but at least is able to kill infantry, this tank lacks the pen to kill heavier threats, while also having not a good AI performace, trading it all for a little bit more health and more armor, which leaves it to its only role, to be able to somewhat slug it out with p4. it certainly needs an anti inf buff or toggable HVAP shells to make it viable against panthers In: COH2 Balance

My internet is fine but the game sometimes freezes for 5 seconds, sometimes even almost 10 seconds. With or without connection lost -> reconnecting notification. Never had this issue in the past but the last two weeks it's happening frequently. Very annoying. The games that are affected by the freezes are also the games where I have input lag. It's very strange though because it doesn't happen in every game. Only like 30% of games. when i get input lag its mostly becouse of random freezes in the first few sec in the game, and then the game is unable to "catch up" In: COH2 Gameplay

But it doesn't matter because the engine crit works anyway no matter if they penetrate or not. And as I said the difference between penetrating and not penetrating is 20 damage which is mostly irrelevant because of how HP works. (for medium and up it's always (usually?) 160 HP steps). In case of T70 it would matter but it doesn't have enough armour to bounce snares anyway. T70 has 70 armour and all snares have at least 100 penetration. Numbers are from coh2db.com, they haven't changed recently so should be up to date. if a snare bounces or not means a hell lot, a bounced snare does no engine DMG! In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Panzerfüssilier snare range 26 Jan 2020, 11:40 AM Snare range definetly is ridiculos, and should be changed. However if i recall corectly the pen and dmg used to be inferiour to other snares. While i think dmg got normalized i feel that if they nerf the range they should also do the same pen as rifle snare. Does anyone have exact numbers on this? In: COH2 Balance
