Thread: StuG and SU-765 Feb 2020, 22:56 PM Idk. The stugs shouldn't be any more able to mob heavies than the su76 can. We don't need more spam one unit and fix all kinda units that the us76 was changed to prevent. What you use to fight mediums shouldn't be what you plan to use to fight heavies. If the enemy is transitioning to heavier and more expensive units the counters should scale as well where applicable. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tank Destroyer Poll5 Feb 2020, 22:49 PM I really don't like the idea of more units being added to stock. I think usf has the tools it needs they simply need to be refined. The sherman for example should be the workhorse of the usf, not the Jackson. Perhaps modifying radio net to include increased pen? I know it's already a solid vet ability but if it adds some diversity and reduces fucking Jackson spam I'm all for it. We solve the medium AT issue we can remove that aspect of the Jackson equation. Generalist mediums can fight infantry as well. Multirole tanks vs hard counter TDs? Also why can tanks kill at guns? Tank vs hard counter? Why infantry kill AI specialist infantry? Unit composition isn't the only factor. One should be punished for using them poorly and taking risks should be rewarded. Catching a TD out of position should yield reward. In: COH2 Balance

Less health (480), 12 pop, less armor, 125 fuel That way, the Panzer 4 can destroy it reliably when at range. Currently, Jackson was buffed to 600 health, improved armor. I never understood why Tbh now that the rak can't creep in and wipe it out I think reducing its health slightly could work but I would sooner it be refined as a heavy TD and stock medium AT for usf be shored up. I really think that super zooks on officers would be a good change, one that can't really be exploited and makes officers a bit more. The excuse for no AT would be gone as officers are there if you like em or not. In: COH2 Balance

When they could crush the USF from panthers and tigers, trample on the enemy like an avalanche. But Jackson does not allow this, although it has very weak armor. They also want to remove accuracy in movement, although this is a feature of all USF tanks. Bad armor, Poor health, but good accuracy in movement. There is not even a guarantee that in the battle Jackson vs Panzer 4, the M36 will win. I love how you are saying axis fan boys want it easy then go on to say the unit with more range, guaranteed to pen, better on the move and actually having a chance to bounce incoming fire isn't guaranteed to win. RNG is RNG of course but it's not like the Jackson doesn't have every stat in its favour. 99.99999% isn't a guarantee but it's close enough... In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tank Destroyer Poll5 Feb 2020, 02:50 AM Jump back to quoted post4 Feb 2020, 22:40 PMDoomlord52 If you need to combine that many factors, in addition to luck (them not seeing/hearing you), as well as relying on the opponent not micro'ing properly, to just get a chance at destroying an M36 with a P4, then I'd consider that the P4 is made irrelevant by the M36. When comparing units, they need to either be on equal ground, or have their ground 'equalized' by compensating price with skill. And the thinh is, even IF you manage to get a p4 into range of a Jackson unnoticed, your p4 is STILL at a disadvantage. The Jackson is faster, more accurate and guaranteed to pen while the p4 isn't even guaranteed to hit or pen the Jackson. Chasing a Jackson actually puts the p4 at a worse handicap as well due to the usf accuracy on the move bonus. AND assuming you don't kill it and retreat to lick your wounds the Jackson will be repaired sooner because it has usf crews to pop out and start asap. There isn't single advantage the Jackson does not have in regards to tank combat and certainly not a weakness in sight. In: COH2 Balance

As for the StuG I think similarly improving TWP with vet or a buff via the battle phase system could work especially with the new balance of the aforementioned system. In: COH2 Balance

And yet the Jackson will still be there. Soviet will be boned by the panther and tiger if we exclude the su85 too. And the brits will certainly struggle if we exclude the firefly. The issue is the Jackson can do everything WHILE ALSO being the top of its class in every single meaningful trait. No unit should be a one size fits all and the Jackson would do well tuned as a heavy tank counter instead of an every tank counter so the various other great medium AT options can see some light. Thread: Sovjet NON-doctrinal healing options 3 Feb 2020, 10:11 AM All that's needed is an extra lady at t3/t4 to help make up for the wildly increased damage received. Once things like lmgs stuff are handed out and aoe damage starts seeing the light having to deal with 3 ladies that have to run to each squad and rub them down is a nightmare. If you have 2 squads that need attention you might as well make a sandwich cause they are going to be there all day. Even worse when they get stuck in a squad so you have to micro your units in base just so they can all get healed. In: COH2 Balance
