Problem is that one should not be forced to T1 just to use a doctrinal ability and in addition T1 sort over laps with Opel. Don't think anyone would ever make 2 or more squads with those 5x MP40's. It rings more logic to me if the frag was swapped back with the flame nade and make the smoke and flame nade share cooldown. Making the stock upgrade 3x or 5x MP40 would give room for a doctrinal upgrade to 2x STG44. However, I don't think anyone would ever mess up his Volksgrens like that. Atleast I wouldn't, sturmpio's are still a better CQC squad than 5x MP40. I am simply explaining the logic not defending it. Imo the commander currently bring the Opel which is OP and incendiary barrage that can ruin UKF play and is better used in large modes mostly. There are a number of changes that could improve the commander like: Making MP-40 VGs a separate unit instead of an upgrade and moving the flamer to barrage Replacing the the lieg incendiary barrage with a a mortar that can fire incendiary rounds that can be found urban assault commander Allow ST to equip both sweeper and flamer having one active at the time Make hezter a call in unit, increase rear armor, remove DOT and add dot in as an ability In: Lobby

The MP-40 upgrade should simply be removed and the MP-40 VG should become a separate unit similar to Assault tommies. I would mind testing the MP-40 becoming stock and the MP44 becoming doctrinal either. In: Lobby

And is it equally good to man team weapons with ost compared to building team weapons? For the main gun performance I mean. Their target size is 1.25 same as the HMG and mortar but bigger than atg that have a size of 1. The support weapons perform the same regardless of crew. I personally prefer using pioneer to crew weapons since they have better size and better sight. The cost a bit more thou. In: COH2 Gameplay

So tho this I say: You provided a stat in isolation, as you always do, and then claim that that stat alone proves that the ISU is not a poor AT vehicle. Because you know, speed, cost, no turret, the fact that is has to swap ammo mid-fight, that it will face Tigers/Elephants/Jagdtigers/Panthers don't at all factor into the equation. It's all about single stats, by themselves, and pretending that you are proving claims are false. You posted the TTK against mediums (which, you know, a P4 is by the way) to demonstrate that the TDs are really all the same. Which is the most stretching of stats you have done so far. Because not only are you now no longer looking at speed/cost/turret/potential targets, you are now also conveniently leaving penetration out of the picture to claim that, and I quote "the differences in TDs is not that great". You move on. This means their Kars have 150% accuracy in cover (about the same dps as Grens squadwise) and their LMG has 50% accuracy in cover. I tested it a single time some time ago, the LMG performs about the same in and out of cover: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsOOdDuRlh4 I personally find the LMG lackluster for requiring T4 tech, but the upcoming -2mp reinforce cost could help a bit. Would like to see their LMG have 75% accuracy in cover though. The patch notes are a bit vague about this, it indicates that weapon should perform 50% out of cover and in cover 75%: "Cover bonus for slot items from 300% to -25%." and I could find anything helpful in the editor either other then ostruppen_cover_bonus that seem to apply only to K98. It seem to me that your are probably right and the weapon has the same DPS in and out of cover which is close to your test results. This is massive nerf from the 50% more DPS damage that they used to do (losing 100% DPS on these weapons). Keep in mind that they had with 2 weapon slots at that time. The DPS in cover ratio between the Lmg and k98 every 5 units should be: 0.9/1.1/1.4/1.6/1.9/2.2/2.6/2.9 from 2.6/3.3/4.1/4.9/5.7/6.6/7.7/8.6! In: COH2 Balance
