Are osttruppen strong in cover?

I read stats at cohdb.com and I could not see them being any stronger in cover. They sure seem super weak even in cover when I play with them. They used to be reasonable in cover as I remember it from years ago. Has this changed?
My mommy always said there were no monsters - no real ones - but there are.

I believe they get a reload/accuracy bonus in cover

ostruppen get x3 accuracy when on the K98 when in cover
This should be the DPS of K98 out cover and in of cover
1.2/1.1 0.9/0.8/0.7/0.7/0.6/0.5
3.6/3.2 2.8/2.5/2.2/2.0/1.8/1.6
The lmg is probably half that of a grenadier.

Ok well that’s a significant difference. And is it equally good to man team weapons with ost compared to building team weapons? For the main gun performance I mean.

You mean the weapon drop in Osttruppen doctrine?

Their target size is 1.25 same as the HMG and mortar but bigger than atg that have a size of 1.
The support weapons perform the same regardless of crew.
I personally prefer using pioneer to crew weapons since they have better size and better sight. The cost a bit more thou.
