It would be helpful to provide a replay, because the answer to your questions includes a lot of different factors... the biggest one is the map you play on.
On some maps it's a lot easier to counter earlygame brits as OKW (example: Elst, Lierneux), and on other maps you can do literally nothing in the first 5 minutes (e. g. Crossing in the woods, Road to Kharkov)
It is a weired drawback, which doesnt make any sense from a realistic point of view. They move slower during the attack than normal and get punished for that. If sprinting units would get a drawback like that, i wouldnt mind.
But in this case, it is the opposide.
If storms or paras would not have this drawback, you could just spam this ability at any time without thinking as you could just press retreat once the incoming dps reaches a threatening level
I don't know whether opposing units like tanks or TD's target the crew or the weapon.
They target the weapon
Normal guns 2-shot it, ele and JT oneshot the landmattress. Means it's dead as fck if the enemy is in range... which -as I said- is not uncommon with how extremely slow this thing reacts and with the super long barrage duration
Think you over estimate spotting scopes on casemate TDs. As soon as they rotate to fire the vision is gone.
A 70 range unit should never be able to spot for itself, no matter the circumstances.
Also, an elefant often "waits" for targets. Yes, if it rotates you lose the sight bonus but its not hard to manually rotate onto the enemy tank completely once you spotted it for a second
doesn't give the change you might want as one can set a 251 with spotting scopes right next to it and have the same result. Even better since the Elefant can rotate and keep vision, which it can't with its own scope. Have been doing this myself last few weeks, works quite well.
Oh yes, totally. But then it requires at least a bit more setup from the player instead of a single 300 damage 70 range tank destroyer that spots for itself
Stuka dive bomb is useless if it cannot uncap point.
Im talking about Victory Points and not ressource points. As someone mentioned earlier, axis can autowin a super close VP game if 2 players drop a stuka dive on the 2 enemy VP sectors (or neutralize 1 with inf then drop the last one fast)
