The sad part is that first impressions are everything. Apparently Battlefield 2042 is actually in reasonably polished state by now, but my first thoughts whenever someone brings the game up is: "it's a shit game". Same thing for Cyberpunk. The way they released those games have become a black mark upon their names that really haven't ever gone away for me. I'm very glad that CoH3 didn't release in a completely shit state, but the initial reception of this game will turn away players for a long time to come, I think. Relic really needs to muscle through the negative reception and come out on top of it, and make CoH 3 the game it should have been from the start. If they drop CoH 3, then I don't think anyone is going to have any modicum of confidence in Relic in the future. I deeply, deeply, want to like CoH 3. But I won't lie to myself and make excuses for Relic. That's all there is to it. In: COH3 Central
Thread: CoH 3 Allies 4v41 Apr 2023, 14:48 PM If you play with a team, you need to have at least 3 players be Brits, pretty much. US is borked in 4v4 and a very difficult/technical faction to play without blobbing or spamming. My best successes as US in 4v4 come from builds where I get assault engineers, skip T1 and tech T2, then get 2 ass engis and 2 MGs. Throw in a sniper and bazooka squad, build MG bunkers and mortar bunkers, get the M16 AA then AT truck ASAP then skip T3 and tech straight to T4 and rush 2 shermans, then get 76mm upgrade. You're basically support for your teammates. You need 2 MGs because CoH3 MGs lose to blobs, you need MG bunkers to support your MGs, you need the sniper to actually deal damage, and you need the bazooka squad as a stopgap and protection for your backline. Basically you play bite and hold. The brits attack and bite, and you secure the territory with bunkers and hold while the brit goes elsewhere. This is the only successful way to play that I've found if you don't blob riflemen. It's either blob v. blob or you spam machineguns to counter them. In: Strategy Desk

I'm not changing my review yet, and In fact I haven't even felt like playing the game for weeks now. That's how far I've come, as someone who preordered the game, and even defended the state of the game & graphics from my friends during the multiplayer alpha. I agree with you, DAK med truck seems fine, its not a hill I want to die on, but it seems inconsistent to me. Their abilities should all be equal to each other.
