I guess Lelic just got a little lazy when they were making OKW. (UKF has the same issue, as does USF (though they at least have a couple unique models for things such as MG crews) I really wish Lelic put more effort into the OKW models. I wish there was more than just...blue. In: COH2 Balance

He has the most claims but they aren't verified. This would make logical sense, since now KV-2 just outshines IS-2 even when it comes to tank on tank combat and makes stalin obsolete. The IS-2 in game is the model 1943 IS-2 which is only slightly better than the Tiger. The IS-2 you're talking about is the model 1944 IS-2 which is indeed the King Tiger's equal. In: COH2 Balance

Imo it is the best non limited tank in the game. Great speed, durability, range and penetration with a good chance to overrun infantry. Very strong Vet-Bonus in addition. On top of it all you can get doctrinal instant smoke. Sorry, but Panther is a bad example. I would pick it over the Comet if I had to choose. Edit: The problem of the Comet is the existence of the Panther, if Comet wouldn't have to face Panther it would be magnificent. At this point I feel like the Panther's pintle MG upgrade should be removed and the main gun given tank destroyer AI damage/accuracy so it can be completely rebalanced as a heavy tank destroyer. It's not that hard to catch a sniper off guard in a smaller map. Also, I don't think OKW would be balanced with both a sniper and a KT. In: COH2 Balance

Extremely expensive models in a four-man squad don't much like being sniped. LMG obers don't have any special attributes that make them good at chasing down and killing a sniper. ??? Fire On the move LMG? Hello? Most players can't baby sit their sniper every single second so the OKW player can just attack move his Obers. Sure it'll bleed some manpower but the opponent will likely lose his sniper or it'll be forced away. It's the closest thing to a soft counter non-doctrinally. In: COH2 Balance

USF and OKW not having Snipers would be fine if they had access to their "sniper equivalent" units in their base kit, rather than having to choose doctrines for them. Honestly I'd ideally like if all factions had both Snipers and a Light Infantry unit of some type, particularly the latter, which are genuinely far better suited to CoH2 than snipers are. I'd argue that Pgrens and Commandoes are absolutely comparable to USF and OKW elites, incidentally... though elite infantry comparisons aren't really relevant, surely? Technically OKW's sniper counter is the MG34 Obersoldaten. And believe me, it works pretty good. Only thing is it comes late. Honestly Pgrens and Commandoes are nowhere near as strong as Bazooka Rangers, LMG Obers, 4x FG42 Falls, and Paras. Pgrens are average at best for elite infantry, while Commandoes aren't nearly as flexible as the others. This is important because the extra powerful elite infantry of WFA is probably a big reason why they have no snipers. In: COH2 Balance
