Interesting idea that could really help Soviet infantry AT. |

I am making fun of the push to give Sturms sandbags. Might as well have them replace Volks altogether. |
|
No, because the muni doesn't always equal the weapon dropped. Muni can be spent on other abilities.
Now, the real question is, why can't I give SVTs to my Volks? |
OKW: Sturms can not build them but Volks can
With this proposed change every faction would have sandbags available for their engineer/builder unit and thus making all factions even more similar and boring.
B: OKW really would either need an auxiliary engineer unit (Luftwaffe ground forces?), or you'd need to be able to build a gimped version of Sturmpioneers to supplement their existing one, or as a third option; Sturms would need to be able to erect Sandbags absurdly quickly (This third option would be pretty AIDS)... as otherwise OKW would go from one of the factions with the greatest access to Sandbags, to the faction with undeniably the least access.

Let's give Sturms Panzerfausts and incendiary grenades too. Oh, and give them 5 men, and make the Feuersturm flamethrower upgrade compatible with the minesweeper. |
Four volks into fusies? That feels like rather too much investment into non-elite infantry to me. Fusies are a Volk "replacement", not so much a "supplemental" unit. I'd normally go one/three volks into one/three fusies, dependent on the matchup/mode. A fifth infantry squad would be better off being an Ober rather than a fusie, if damage dealing is what you want.
Also: Upgraded Fusies still get molested by Bren sections, I'm afraid.
Reading comprehension. Reread my post again. |
The only real advantage they have compared to volks is the flare. They are worse than volks combatwise early on and not nearly as good as obers later on. Since all allied early vehicles got nerfed even the snare isnt that useful anymore. Jli and falls are just way more useful and supplement volks better.
vet3 sections unupgraded / vet 5 upgraded füssies / vet 5 unupgraded Obers
Max range dmg: 18,43 / 17,24 / 20,67
Conclusio: Upgraded Füssies lose vs unupgraded Section long range (even out of cover)
Well, they are 6 man and I feel like they're better than Volks at long range once upgraded. I know they're aboslute dogshit early game though, that's why I get 3 Volks first if I even decide to go with a fourth Fusilier. |
I personally always go for a JLI commander vs brits rather than one with Fusiliers, they're far more effective in my experience. Less so if the enemy goes non-bren commandoes or simply blobs their tommies, i guess. This is just in 2v2s.
If I start with 4 mainlines I usually opt for a Fusilier as the fourth. The 6 men, G43s, and snares are just too good to pass. Not to mention they can actually fight long range against Bren sections. |
Imagine being such a pathetic naiv person and not noticing that the battlegroup is cost wise the same but its easier to side tech now or get healing
PS: Reading half a page of text is asked too much nowadays I guess...
Isn't going Battlegroup + upgrade into Scwherer now 5 fuel more expensive?
Edit: I see that 5 fuel has been transferred from the medic upgrade to the Battlegroup upgrade so the cost remains the same in all practicality. |

I thought the Advanced Warfare strafe only sucked because it was bugged and always came in off target? |
The VSL upgrade makes them a lot more durable but the doctrine is lacking counters needed in 4v4's.
The frag bombs alone make it worth it.
Of course, against players that aren't noobs the doctrine doesn't offer much late game. |
