The weapon is effective up to range 20-25. And using the ability at that range against dedicated ranged squad is suicide unless they stand in red cover or something. Application of it is the same and new MP40 profile isn't bad. In: COH2 Gameplay

It felt right with the assault rifles. If they had been designed from the beginning with SMGs, I bet they wouldnt have a speed nerf in their ability. That ability IS designed from the beginning for SMGs. Thompson paras have it since forever and it worked well on them and contrary to storms, paras can't just sneak up on you. Definitely many occassion they could have been wiped but because of 5 man, they survived. So it is definitely a great help. Would help better if it were non-doc tough. Performs well also. Allies infantry have survival means more vet levels means more reliablity. Allied late game is bad with only 640hp vehicles(brits excluded). Ost T4 armor have much better survivability, means more vet levels, means more reliability because 960 and 800 is much better then 640. You can't have the cake and eat it too. In: COH2 Gameplay

Even then, there is nothing that makes it so strong the G43. Rather it only used to be able to maintain range engagements on the move. Nothing special about it. Should be non-doc. Production was not rare. Produced in similar quantities to MG42. Makes sense also. There were more PPSH guns then infantry soldiers in the red army, therefore all soviet units should have stock ppsh or ppsh upgrade for all. Your logic is as flawless as usual. UKF have different starting MP than soviets etc. there is no magical value that all factions have. But imagine this.... all factions start with the same resources....... cough***and get nondoc flamers cough*** Go through the patch notes. You'll see OKW got 100 bonus, ost got 80 bonus and UKF got 60 bonus. Subtract these values from their starting mp and add starting units value, you'll end up with same value as soviets and USF. Tho, remember that Spios used to cost 320 as well. RETs also used to cost 160 if I'm not mistaken. Can't remember if other units cost changed or not. It was also the same patch that increased volks cost, which meant OKW couldn't start building 1st volk instantly. For the same reason UKF got their 60 extra. Ost is just living off of welfare. Not rushing them frontally against tanks. All infantry bleeds heavily and gets wiped in end game, grens are hardly an exception here. Go play with new infantry doctrine that gives them 5th men, go see how they perform in late game. In: COH2 Gameplay
