So I am asking you:
- How to counter Blobs(especially OKW blobs since I now lost 2 games in a row to OKW blobs)
Get a USF teammate to outblob the OKW blob
Getting a fast ambulance or halftrack should help too, as OKW has no way to reinforce in the field. It'd be manpower attrition for both teams but your field presence should come out on top.
Mines unfortunately aren't great vs blobs. They can protect flanks, but since they are artificially capped at only hurting 2 models blobs can just tromp right through them with minimal losses.
Well yes and no, they can hurt only 2 models per squad. But if there's a blob, there's a good chance a mine will hurt multiple squads that are bundled together. They can usually kill up to 4 models if you're lucky.
I'd say the same if I could guarantee coordination from my team. But I can't so I'm quite glad they exist, so when no one will cooperate I can do it myself.
It's kinda imbalanced though, since only Ostheer and Soviets have commanders with both. OKW, UKF and USF players will always have a disadvantage this way. OKW is arguably worst off as their only viable off-map arty is in a mediocre doctrine.
I agree but 5 man won’t do no good, since conscripts can merge
Would giving them a higher RA do any good? It'd achieve the same purpose as downscaling to 5 men in regards to survivability to direct fire, while keeping high survivability (due to 6 models) to indirect fire. Merge would be less effective too.
Or an Osttruppen-like MG upgrade (1x DP-28) for Cons once T3 or T4 has been built.
Pretty nice list. Some cool vehicles, wasn't expecting literally a 251 halftrack with a pak40 in it.
They somehow managed to screw up the model though, the Pak gun is too far in the back.
Still, vehicles like the 251 Pakwagen and the Staghound are a fun addition to the game and I hope we get to see more eccentric vehicles, like the Puma.
Focus the officer and try to go for the munitions as much as you can perhaps, since the STG44 / Gew43 / Sturmofficer abilites are really munitions heavy.
And somehow surviving the blob should give you an advantage later, as the Breakthrough doctrine doesn't offer anything late-game (except JT for team games).
I didn't have very high hopes after the beta but seeing the videos of Westie and Levelcap with all the changes and improvements DICE is putting into the game, it actually looks like the release version of BF V will be pretty good. They really listened to the beta feedback and fixed many issues players had.
I'm actually looking forward to release.
What I still want to see though is a roadmap of the tides of war service.
If we're keeping the med crate ability, can we have it changed to drop a single crate for 15 ammo? That way it isn't a liability to use it on the front lines and wouldn't overlap quite so much with Sturm Pios.
Been opting this since its first iteration, but no response so far sadly. Another option would be to make it a medkit-like ability similar to the Ostheer infantry's.
Btw, something must be done with locking down sectors with 223. On certain maps it's gonna be abused as hell. Deployed 223 can't block from capping territory if so then only on capping circle.
Locking down territory with the 223 doesn't 'lock' a sector, the enemy can still cap it. It was changed in patch 1.5 although it wasn't in the notes.
LMAO the delusion is once again strong here with the axis fanboys.
Just a small reminder the LEFH is not only very precise and shoots various salvos, it can also shoot IN your base, while the ML20 although inaccuraten CANNOT SHOOT in the enemy's base...
The ML-20 has the same range and accuracy/scatter stats as the LeFH and it too can shoot into Axis base sectors.
