Thread: Battlefield V WW2 - SEPT 4 - Open beta.8 Nov 2018, 14:34 PM In case someone's interested, if you subcribe to Origin Access for one month you'll pay €15 euros and then you can buy the standard edition for €53,99. Then you can upgrade to the €79,99 deluxe version for free. Saves you about 10 euros for all the deluxe edition bonusses and you can play it way early starting tomorrow the 9th at 14:00h CET. I was very sceptical during the beta but DICE has definitely shown a huge amount of progress and improvement over the last couple of weeks. Their new community approach has convinced me the game will probably be good. In: Other Games
Thread: Soviet mine oneshoting wehr squads8 Nov 2018, 14:11 PM Jump back to quoted post8 Nov 2018, 13:35 PMelchino7 Is the damage capped by the squad triggering the mine or it also applies to other squad/explosives triggering it ? I've done some tests but as far as I could tell, the damage cap is always there for the 30 muni mines. These mines triggered by vehicles or explosions seem to always kill a maximum of 2 models no matter how they detonate. Teller mines and Riegel mines however kill whatever is in the explosion radius. They have no damage cap. They can kill entire squads if they're clumped up. The M6 mines I'm not sure about, it either does have a cap or doesn't have enough power to kill more than two models. Thread: 2020 CoH 3 is becoming more real by every day8 Nov 2018, 10:49 AM Jump back to quoted post8 Nov 2018, 08:34 AMElSlayer Balance Hell is when you have single large matrix of playable factions. […] (problems with superheavies in large team games, e.g. JT, Ele. IMO these are mostly fixed by now btw. One other thing balance would benefit from tremendously is somehow having seperate balance between 1v1s and team games. For example currently in CoH2 there is the problem of UKF being terrible in 1v1s but being strong in team games. The same goes for certain combinations of abilities like Special Operations Flares and off-map artillery or CAS. In: Lobby
Thread: Infantry Section stats and some other questions7 Nov 2018, 17:57 PM Analysis by Siphon: https://www.coh2.org/topic/83846/ac-2v2-tournament-statistics In: UKF Strategies
Thread: Infantry Section stats and some other questions7 Nov 2018, 16:52 PM Jump back to quoted post7 Nov 2018, 15:27 PMLoopDloop They’re very weak now that they’ve had all their crutches removed and still lack a bunch of basic stuff They are weak in 1v1s due to several reasons, but the current 2v2 tourney seems to be proving they are still very capable in team games. So far they are in the lead with a 65% win ratio. In: UKF Strategies
Thread: Artillery Flares of OKW's Special Operations Commander7 Nov 2018, 16:14 PM Jump back to quoted post7 Nov 2018, 15:39 PMLoopDloop I’m pretty sure p47s don’t need vision but I could be wrong. That’s been the justification for the Stuka at loiter being straight up better for years (which actually also synergizes well with okw flares too). Afaik the P47 strafe needs vision but German tanks usually get themselves spotted in the FOW by having their pintle mount firing at the aircraft, after which they automatically get targeted for the next strafe. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Soviet mine oneshoting wehr squads7 Nov 2018, 09:51 AM Might've been two mines layed pretty much next to each other. Otherwise, there's a hard limit of 2 model kills per squad for most mines as others have said. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Grenadiers + HMG42s vs USF7 Nov 2018, 09:43 AM Squad DPS yes, Riflemen have about 40,2 DPS close range with 1x BAR while Volks double STG have 29,1 DPS so about 133% (misguessed that number previously). Mid and long range are about equal but then Rifleman can go ahead and equip a second BAR. Anyway I've always supported a USF tech rebalance to fix the entire faction and a manpower reduction for Riflemen (with the saved MP going into weapon racks tech) to help their early game. But otherwise Riflemen are fine as they are right now. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Grenadiers + HMG42s vs USF6 Nov 2018, 22:03 PM Jump back to quoted post6 Nov 2018, 21:02 PMEsxile Free squad isn't going to make riflemen any better vs Volks/gren. However it is going to make your riflemen cost argument way less valid because USF has a huge manpower advantage with the free officer squad. Jump back to quoted post6 Nov 2018, 21:00 PMKatitof Something something not spending 50 fuel that doesn't contribute to actual tech to upgrade weapons and use these nades. I'd say it balances out. That's largely offset by OKW having to pay more fuel in total to get a medium tank out. Anyway the fact that it's quite balanced is exactly my point. USF suffers from bad tech but it definitely does not suffer from Riflemen supposedly being not good enough. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Grenadiers + HMG42s vs USF6 Nov 2018, 20:38 PM Jump back to quoted post6 Nov 2018, 20:11 PMEsxile Counting free sandbag and flamnade + higher RM price and reinforcement cost, that's not really ok. Something something free squads with tech In: COH2 Balance
