Although they probably need to improve the matchmaking first lol As OKW or USF you have to rely on your partners early. And as USF your late game is weak. If your partner is doing dumb shit you will get the surrender prompt. You cant blame the USF player for knowing that the match is over. I question the intelligence of the people who dont realize the match is over. You lost. Just let it go. Saving up for some big tank will not save you. Punishing people for not wasting their time playing out a match that is lost would surely kill the game within 3 months. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Favourite CoH Rage moments19 Aug 2021, 18:36 PM - All of the moments. - Playing the game. - When enemy mortars erase your whole army from outside FOW as you are moving but your mortar cant hurt a static MG after 3 barrages. And then ends the game with 0 kills as enemy has 18+. Basically the game itself is an RNG shitfest that no sane human would ever play. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Lienne Forest Map Bug - Infantry Control Missing19 Aug 2021, 18:32 PM This is called the UI or VILSHANKA bug as that was the first map to get this bug. No one knows how or why it proliferates thru the map pool but it happens when a map is edited then uploaded by Relic. EDIT: So there is a chance for every new or updated map to get this bug. Current maps afflicted: - Vilshanka - Eindhoven Country - Lienne Forest Oka River may also get it but I have not seen a post about it. Hop in/out of buildings sometimes helps. Alternating unit selections from upper right unit icons sometimes helps. Last map patch we tried a few things to track it down but have not had success. Rhzev Winter used to have Brit plane bugs. The only way to fix it was to remake the whole map. Which is what we did a map patch or two ago. We deleted everything off the map and it was still bugged. So something in a file not related to the actual objects, textures, etc was bugged as a guess. In: COH2 Bugs

Thread: Is it time for some new 4v4 maps?17 Aug 2021, 21:05 PM Building on the stats provided by PAGEP (the legend) it appears Coh2 could use another map patch. 3v3 map pool needs work and the 4v4 pool seems to be getting more and more divided. I dont think Relic has any plans for a map patch. But Coh2 could really use another one. The bottom few maps should either be replaced or heavily reworked. Some have already been reworked. Since a 2nd patch is really pushing it, I would suggest removing the maps in case the rework does not improve the overall play numbers. If Relic would commit we could maybe have a map contest type scenario. I know there are a ton of new mappers out there that could make some great 4v4 maps with some guidelines. In: Mapping Discussion
Thread: COH3 Idle Unit and Vehicle Pathing17 Aug 2021, 16:47 PM One of the big changes from vCoh to Coh2 is the automatic vehicle movements when two vehicles are pathing near each other. The idle vehicle will try to move out of the way. While this adds to the immersion of the game it also causes your vehicles to bunch up and get stuck together, more often than not, leading to dead vehicles on retreat. The same goes for infantry trying to move out of the way of ehicles. They tend to always end up in much worse positions than if they didnt move. Like running out of cover. Or never reaching the place you want them to move to and instead walk around in giant circles into the enemy line. I say remove this feature from Coh3. Or refine it to where units barely move. Thread: best 4v4 strats as allies16 Aug 2021, 20:54 PM Many allied units synergize well. From simple stuff like a Soviet mortar flare providing sight for flanks or USF pak howies. To the SU85 providing sight for Jacksons and Fireflys. I have seen soviet repair bunkers for brit OP late game tanks turn the tides as well. Brit tanks are tough and when they are constantly attacking can overwhelm. Imagine a couple crocs followed by SU85s... Soviet Urban Defense is always a game winner on city/building maps. I have played a match where a deep push and a forward HQ allowed me as USF airborn to feed MGs and AT guns to our forward spot. And as GBPirate said you really need to focus on countering arty or dont even bother playing some games. But the real issue is players not speaking the same language etc. So playing rando automatch really sucks because you know what will work but you cant get your partner to do it. In: Strategy Desk

The original MakoCELO used the Warnings.Log text file on your PC to get the player names and ranks. That file had two sections in it to get that information. The mismatched error meant that only one section was found in the file. Relic broke the log file when they put out the 64-bit patch so older version no longer work. Because they are Relic and cant do anything right ever. I think they are obligated contractually with the devil to be perpetually inept. The last version I worked on was 4.50. Redgood has done some work since then and may have more options in his version. Last I knew Neffarion updated the original CELO as well so you could check that out. In: Modding and Tools
