Thread: Pak howitzer after last patch21 Sep 2019, 15:47 PM One of the thing worth noting about the pack howizter is the high damage it does to ambient building. It most case it will destroy a wooden house in one barrage if it is not full health. The damage to ambient building needs to be looked at. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: 50 cal - Why is it so good? 21 Sep 2019, 15:12 PM It is due to faction design. USF where meant to played with 1+major so many of their units where OP to compensate the roaster was lacking. Riflemen where the top infatry for its time frame. Then power creep stepped in buffing other units and nerfing some of the USF units, making USF UP. Finally the USF got a new tech tree. 0.50 (and some other units) where simply not brought inline with the new tech tree. And that is one of the reasons why Ostheer should be used as benchmark when balancing the units. In: COH2 Balance

Comparing the damage per bullet between a burst weapon like the LMG and single shot weapon like a bolt action rifle to determine over kill is simply misleading. One can only compare the burst damage of the 2 weapons. In addition the CD of the LMG-42 is longer than most bolt action rifles so it suffers on overkill more. In: COH2 Balance

I am not sure if you appreciate tracking. Not only it allow the SU-76 to auto spot for its barrage, it also provides mini map info so that one can barrage in the FOW. In: COH2 Balance

One replace the flame grenade with fragmentation grenade also. The 2 abilities have completely different power levels. One changes the role of VG and it is at best situational compared to ST44 VG the other make what conscript spam a viable tactic. I doubt anyone would pick an OKW commander to get MP-40 while people who want to use Conscripts choose commanders with PPsh. Next thing we should make G43 CP1 also... Once more the problem is not that PPsh upgrade is weak in anyway, the problem is the "power creep". It is about time to start nerfing units instead of this constant buffing. In: COH2 Balance

Assault Sections and Cavalry Riflemen are CP1. I'd personally go for CP1. Not really there is little connection with the things you mention. MP-40 have a tech cost and are not practically available from CP 0. Assault grenadiers and Assault Engineers are call-in units with a CD (that cost 280) and not upgrades. You should be asking for a new unit armed with PPSh, no snare and not earlier access to an upgrade. In addition PPsh for some strange reason comes for "free" with "hit the ground" further complicating things. The majority of units/abilities that "feel" up do so because the power level of most thing have been increased (too much imo). Imo the time to buff units has pasted it is time to nerf units... I was purposely not referring to the vet 5 ability, but their CAPABILITY to add suppression to units through either their Kar98s and IR STG upgrade. Which is why i don't think that their suppression abilities are comparable at all, cause the context of both units is completely different. One is a vet ability which further improves their passive capabilities and the other one is a cost muni based ability only obtained as part of the 1919 upgrade. Writing comprehension. You clearly write: "Obers ability has no cd. " The text is at the least unclear so there is not need to blame the reader. Again my point is that one ability has literally no CD the other has around 70 sec that is an inconstancy. The fact that Obers have suppression in their weapon is another inconstancy and it should also be removed, (unless it is necessary for the ability to work, and probably that is not the case.
