Show me high level matches with ML-20 built in first place, then try finding one where ML-20 was destroyed by tanks directly as opposed by offmaps or artillery (assuming match wasnt already over by that point)

And just to have a chance at de-crewing it, you have to drive a 160hp vehicle very far forward. That's a pretty terrible idea for very little payoff
Ambushing tanks who supposed drive into enemy base to destroy ML-20 is retarded by design, thats not happening unless you're playing against AI or you already lost the game (which is likely scenario if you locked this doctrine and built ML-20)
You do realize Relic specifically made it so you can target the howitzer itself with tanks right? So your tank will target the weapon and actually destroy it, unlike the two suggestions you gave which are worthless |

There's not a single OKW Commander with recon AND howitzer deletion. One or the other but not both

IIRC any damage than makes a vehicle go to 25% or lower can proc a main gun destroy.
This means that on any medium tank, after getting hit twice by most tanks/AT guns, you can suddenly get the crit to affect you by any following shot.
Reduce the threshold lower than 25% and it's suddenly FAIR to get crit by being really on low health and not just roaming around with a tank at half health.

It's pure AT doctrine and abilities must reflect it. IF Ml-20 could fire to tanks as pak43, it could be "bait".
No then they would be avoiding it with tanks altogether. The point is you setup a howy, and use the rest of the doctrine to ambush things that dive after it. You have mines, AT cons, ambush tactics, etc

I'd rather see ML-20 stay here, the doctrine doesn't have anything to push against stalemate, you could easily outcamp it and PTRS cons will obliterate any vehicle that dares to get in their range with nade assault.
PTAB is actually not bad against structures. But it's a costly way to fight against structures/defensive players so I think you're still right here
