What about knocking 5mu off per battle phase? Then late game they are as accessible as can be and help make up for all the shit that happens late game? Can always be adjusted from there if it turns out too much.
Really like this idea, don't see any downsides. It would be nice if the BPs provided more things directly, rather than just being a stepping stone for tech
Like the pgren to BP1 change was one of the best Ost has ever gotten imo |
By automatically, are you referring to fire/reload rate? Because if you are, just remember that you had to de crew and re crew constantly to trigger the bug, so it was impossible to do on the pershing.
On the topic of fun bugs, my favorite was when veterancy was broken.
Hmm yeah that does make sense. Coulda sworn in an example video someone made it had a pershing though. I thought that was the only example of the bug I could remember
The veterancy bug revelation was a wild day for the community lol |
What about taking away the flare at vet 1 and giving it a faster barrage at vet 1? Then it doesn't completely replace the 82mm but also gets a wee bump after it's been on field awhile
I like this as well. The think the vet 0 flare on the 82 is a big reason that mortar is more useful. A better barrage at vet 1 would distinguish the 120 a lot more |
Well any elite infantry really, rangers, lmg obers, stg obers, shocks. Grenades fit because you have to aim and time them, while tactical assault is 0 skill to use, just pop it and deal more damage.
Well depending on the situation though right? It gives an RA/movement debuff so using it in some situations can punish you
Iirc the movement debuff still takes effect during your retreat too, until the timer ends
I would say the skill usually comes before the ability, by getting your squad into the right position. I do agree it can be cheesy but I've also wiped people's paras/storms because they weren't using it properly |
It’s just cheesy. Your uber DPS squad catches an enemy on retreat or out of position? Pop this 0 skill ability to maximize the damage. Imagine if Obers had tactical advance or any other DPS buff ability. Wouldn’t be fair at all. There’s really no place for such abilities, just compare them to other damage abilities like grenades or rifle grenades, which have counterplay and require skill to use properly.
Are you talking about stg obers? Cause to that I would say their ignoring cover bonus means they don't even need to catch you out of position. I think they get some pretty nice tricks themselves |
Tactical assault should be removed entirely tbh
Can you say why? Genuinely curious
I like abilities that have risk vs reward like that, but your also a better player than me so idk about it's use on a competitive level |
this would easily be fixed by setting the wepaon slot requirement of G43 to 2. It doesnt make sense anyway that a squad with 3 G43 rifles still can pick up a weapon when volks with 2x stg44 cant
This +100 |
Lol you still didn't understand what I said
Kubel is fine, its a really cheap scouting unit and it's vet 1 ability is really useful |
It wasnt even ninja fixed. It was documented in the patch notes under bug fixes but people just passed over it for some reason.
Huh, apparently so. Although the patch notes aren't overly specific.
I think it got "passed over" because the patch it was fixed in caused the bug that made the ability stack every time the crew got in and out. This was a week after the note Sander just posted:
June 29th Hotfix
Bug Fixes
Combined Arms will no longer stack when de-crewing and re-crewing vehicles
Since that patch gave us Pershings firing automatically I think people might of overlooked it lol |
it used to be awful back when the modifiers didn't stack with other buffs. for example, you actually decreased the ROF of a vet3 Pershing when using CA since it would override the vet3 reload bonus with its own inferior buff.
however, this odd behavior was ninja fixed some patches ago and now it stacks properly (afaik at least). i remember someone discovered there might still be some bugs with the ability, like having a larger aura radius than intended under specific circumstances, but it is indeed very solid for how cheap it is.
It was actually still good back then, as long as your units weren't vet 3. And even then it still was usually helpful
I need to use it a lot more now if they fixed the overwrite bug, I wasn't aware they had fixed that. I really didn't even think it was a bug i thought it was intended cause it would be OP with certain vet bonuses |
