It’s not just about howitzers, the IL2 precision strike is most often used gainst superheavy tanks so I wanted to ask if this is intended not to be counterable by AA or if the ability is overperforming by being immune to AA. I'm pretty sure it's the same counter as most strafes: Dodge It's used against super heavies in combination with Ram. There's a reason for that In: COH2 Balance

The topic is about using off-maps to counter howitzers. Howitzers can't move, so the time it takes for your off-map to hit doesn't matter In: COH2 Balance

You sure you're not thinking of the strafe from Tactical Support on USF? They look similar, but the advanced warfare one is buggy as hell and is not useful Tac Support strafe is really good in niche situations. Howitzers can't move. The time it takes to get there shouldn't matter. Time on target for USF has a wicked long delay but it still gets the job done Sexton and priest can move, but that's why they cost significantly more fuel. They're not bad at engineering, they just don't have to do it as much All engineers should get veterancy from engineering tasks. Do any of the modteam know if this is possible? One got buffed because they was literally nothing special about it. Once demos were nerfed (rightfully) CEs had literally nothing special about them. And Pios got their own buff a while back for mg42 spotting Did they remove pios ability to 1-shot light tanks? No, so suggesting they are "forgotten" is complete nonsense. There's not much in between Basically don't go howitzer unless you already know they don't have an offmap, which is pretty rare imo Reminder to everyone here that the plane question is itrelevant, time on target, railway, etc can do the same thing to a howitzer and there's no "countering" it In: COH2 Balance
