Thread: Raketens should lose their received accuracy bonus25 May 2020, 06:36 AM I don't know why this topic turned into tank vs atgun while my initial point was about rewarding flanking with infantry. Flanking any other atgun ends up by decrewing it. Why the raketen should be different? Because it has 5 less range than other atgun? It doesn't make sense, it already has 5 crew members and I'm not against the retreat button but the bonus it provides. Retreat in time and you should save it, get flanked and lose it. This statement should be true for any atgun. In: COH2 Balance

The only trouble with that is tall trees that mask some portion of the field. I miss a lot less action with that. (and turning the camera ofcourse) In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Pioneers after early game21 May 2020, 13:18 PM Then explain us how a full Ostheer tech cost 210 fuel (minus 20) 190 and a full USF tech cost 230 fuel (minus 20) 210 and on top of that you still have to pay 2x15 fuel to get BARs/Zooks and grenades. Sounds to me that Ostheer's unit upgrades are free to unlock. In: COH2 Balance

If one want to add the cost of molotovs and AT grenades to conscripts one also has to add the cost of T1 and BP to Grenadier because with out they do not have their full kit. I've seen some players even go so far as to rotate their PoV by 180 degree in case they start north - which at least seems to be an option for most people... except for me though, since I'll completely lose orientation upon rotating the map even the slightest bit I almost always rotate the map and Bayeux north fuel point is a bit of a pain in the ass to supervise at the moment. Too much tall trees. But overall I like the actual map. Have to give a try to the new version. In: Lobby

That's a fair remark, Elchino responded already yes today Ostheer can push from minute 0 with assgrenadier and the amount of players using them shows that they are effective and Ostheer doesn't suffer from not having snares early game (at least vs USF). Then Grenadier are weaker than riflmen for the first 3-4 minutes, once you upgrade the lmg42 they beat vanilla riflemen. If you want the riflemen to stay on top you must paid 15 fuel. If you want the riflemen to also use grenade (as grenadiers do) you must again pay 15 fuel. If you want to heal them, pay 10 fuel more. At the same time you get your first lmg42 you also get your first pzgrenadier which is completely capable of pushing anything 1:1 the USF player can oppose, after all that's an elite unit. Now we can't take the Gren vs riflemen matchup in a vacuum, there is also the HMG42 and pioneer with super vision to articulate your early game. So yes, I don't see any particular reason for Ostheer to not push only with infantry. In: COH2 Gameplay

It's pure numbers so it's directly comparable and debates are pointless. There are currently no factions that do not have a good early game. OST has ostruppen/granadiers/MGs/assaultgrens etc. US has strong infanty with w.rack Soviets can spam whatevs OKW dominates early on smaller maps, close quarters maps UKF also has good infantry and MGs with benefits in encampements and cover. The "strong early game" argumet is being less and less valid, especially if you include doctrines into the equation. If you really want to counter early axis mediums, get one ranger squad, equip 3 zooks and make them run behind your infantry. The enemy will usually try to get in to kill your squads, snare it and let rangers to their work (or snare + AT): 1 rant from yesterdays game. I threw 13 snares in one game to a Panther, 0 of them snared. What is the snare chance from US infantry on Panther? Does anyone know? You're a bit off topic. As USF you must outplay your opponent to get around 30 fuel more in 12 minutes in order to get your sherman at the same time as his Pz4. In: COH2 Gameplay
