As is title,

T-34/76 should not come later than PzIV. The T-34/86 would be a good replacement and should be non-doctrinal. Replace the T-34/85 that are doctrinal with the ISU-152 as in is only in 1 doc.

I agree, right now in T-34-76 there is no point in T4. If you want anti-infantry - the T-70 in T3 will be faster. Because the T-34 comes late against infantry and noncompetitive against tanks.

That would make T34/76 op and would remove T70 from the game.

Currently T-34-76 is removed but present in T4. T-34-76 can be transferred to T3 by increasing the cost and performance against tanks. T-70 can be produced in T0 after building T1 / T2 and unlock.

Or make the 76 a T3 sidetech, therefore allowing a T70 window and allowing it to be skipped?

That would be the end of COH2. It really really would.

Was about to suggest this. T34/76 feels out of place in T4 until you have amassed enough of them.

T3.5 would make more sense and allow the T34/85 to be worked into stock. Replace T85 in doctrines with M4C perhaps.

6 years later, we return to where we began.

While we're asking for old glory, can I have my sniper in my scout car again?

Or Just build T-34s and have SU-85s in support, using T-34s as tanks to secure flanks, go for flanks, and shield the TDs and AT given they're not incredibly expensive to replace and do well against infantry and can threaten vehicles/medium tanks.

^This.

If you want to spam only tanks as soviets, get 34/85.
34/76 requires TD support, it doesn't have to be SU-85, but it needs to be one of the SUs.

T-34 is generally not worth its price. For almost the same price I will build a SU-85 + Katyusha which will be much more efficient. And to spend 300 mp and 90 fuel for the Shield = the path to lose. For a flank tank, it has low speed, penetration if instead of a ramming it would be a speed increase, then it would be relevant for flank strike.

T-34/76 is mostly situational, IMO. If fuel supply is scarse, then save for TD's or call-ins. But they should stay in T4, and thats why.

They kinda cheapish; they can cap, therefore no serious infantry support needed; their hull MG literally melts every infantry unit; they can ram other tanks, stunning them for long enough to call in IL-2 strike, or get in couple shots from AT-gun, another t-34 or, my preferred strat - ISU-152, almost 100% killing or badly damaging enemy armor.

Main thing in using T-34/76 is to get at least 2 of those and do not just send them straight in front ofPaK-wall and P4 cannons.

For sure this wont work in 1v1 "elite" battles, because of totaly different meta from all others regimes, but I don't really care about it.

Problem: T-34/76 is not present in very many games.

Reason: Soviets have better options for the role that come at lower cost, causing little incentive to tech up.

Solution 1: Reduce cost of T-34/76 to make it more attractive as a late game unit or a rushed shock unit.

Solution 2: Change Soviet tech requirements to you can build T3 or T4 once T1 or T2 is built, but increase the price of the T4 building. This also makes rushing for a T-34/76 more viable without changing the actual stats or cost of any unit, just the tech order and cost of tech. (I prefer this solution.)

Meh, its too late for this kind of changes, if anyone at lelic ever had even a slightest bit of common sense they would not put it game as it's clearly doesnt fit anywhere in soviet tech and barely has any purpose other than being bigger T-70 and looking ridiculous in late war setting, same as KV-1

To be fair though - other allied mediums arent doing much better

Lately I've been labeling the T34/76 as a premium light.

The T70 is better against infantry and also has utility. The Su76 is better against medium armor, has HE barrage (mandatory to deal with elite infantry) and also can reveal infantry and support weapons.

The T34 stands in the middle of both light vehicles and comes not much sooner than a P4. You also have to pay 280mp and 85 fuel for the tech structure.

If okw can have a pin point accurate high explosive rocket arty at mech, having the T34 in T3 doesn't sounds too farfetched
